What a Gem
Dr. Walsh is totally committed to his patients—he always calls to check on you; uses his decades of experience to assess what is ailing you, knows the exact treatment path to recommend; and knows exactly who to send you to if you need a specialist. He has trained many excellent doctors over the years and is just an overall ace! Great location, smart helpful staff

Kind Dr., but level of care is lacking
I was a patient of Dr. Walsh for many years, but ultimately left due to poor communication and medical advice. While Dr. Walsh has a friendly demeanor, his appointments always feel a bit rushed. It feels like he's trying to cram in as much volume as possible to support his team. The level of care is just not where I needed it to be. I have since moved onto another nephrologist and was able to improve my physical ailments following their advice. One key point in this decision was patient education. The office staff's demeanor was always a bit questionable. Again, I've gone elsewhere and found it to be a much better experience.

30 years of brilliant care from Dr. Walsh.
Dr Walsh is so smart and caring that we will trust him as long as he is in practice. His diagnoses and treatments have been spot on for 30 years. He digs deeper when needed but never over treats. First class, super smart doctor.

Dr. Walsh is OUTSTANDING
I am 53 :) Dr. Walsh has been my doctor since I was 21 yrs old! He was referred to me From NYC as my only opting for monitoring my abnormal kidney throughout all these years. I’m a documentary film producer for Netflix and would not be where I am at, and most importantly, as a beyond proud mother of four kiddos, living loving life without Dr. Walsh. Would not be able roll throughout my life if he was not such a the rock as a physician. He is brilliant. Simply put he is a masterpiece.

He listened and offered a suggestion that no other doctor had in past 1o years. He came at my problem from another direction - and his idea showed that he had been listening to me and his choice of action was very straightforward. Very knowledgeable. Not a lot of extraneous small talk. To the point with questions that were relevant. I was impressed. He answered everything I wasn't clear on.

THE BEST DOCTOR! COMPASSIONATE, EXCELLENT LISTENER, KIND AND ALWAYS HELPFUL. IT IS UNUSUAL TO FIND A PERSON WILLING TO HEAR ABOUT WHAT IT IS THAT AILS YOU, TO TAKE THE TIME TO UNDERSTAND YOUR COMPLAINT, AND THEN TO CAREFULLY EXPLAIN WHAT HE IS ABLE TO DO FOR YOU. THIS IS A PERSON WHO IS THOROUGHLY DEDICATED TO HEALING HIS PATIENTS AND TO OFFERING THEM COMFORT.

I'm a relatively new patient and have been pleased with Dr Mayus & Dr Shajan-both young guys with great bedside manner (haven't met Walsh, the owner of the practice). On the downside, patients can be treated quite poorly by their front desk personnel. On one occasion I was repeatedly reprimanded for an outstanding balance for a bill I had not yet received. That did not matter to Natalie who repeated her reprimand. Frustrated, I spoke to Javier, the office manager, but he was less concerned with the behavior of his personnel than he was with the bill. Eventually, he acknowledged that the bill had not been mailed. A second criticism relates to insurance coverage. I have the impression that they have little idea...and don't seem to care, about what costs are or are not covered, so as a patient you must be aware. While I like Mayus & Shajan, it's hard to recommend this practice when treatment by the office personnel can be so poor. I could be wrong, but it seems like a new practi

Unless your old and in the office constantly, there is zero chance of getting an appointment or having your prescription refilled. There's a reason why all young doctors are leaving this practice.
