Misdiagnosed my husband’s early onset Alzheimer’s
Awful doctor. He misdiagnosed my husband. After seeing him twice, having two MRI’s and two memory tests Dr. Ponce said my 56 year old husband had ADHD. He didn’t listen to his symptoms and what I was trying to tell him and referred him to a psychiatrist. My husband went to another neurologist and had another memory test. The new neurologist immediately seen something wrong with his memory test , but wanted further testing with a geriatric psychiatrist. Well, my husband has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s and is starting treatment with infusions in December. He had the MRI’s, seen white matter on his brain and diagnosed ADHD. Don’t use him.

Very caring, knowledgeable doctor
Dr Ponce took care of my mother with Alzheimer's and me for migraines for many years. He is incredibly smart, kind and patient. He always kept up to date and discussed most current treatments and I am thankful to have him to care for me and my family.

My wife became very confused, partially due to a urinary tract infection. He rushed us and did not examine my wife at all. He didn’t ask her one question. He also misdiagnosed her. We will be looking for a new neurologist.

Went to explore excruciating facial pain on the right side of my face and excruciating muscle pain at the back of my head. Dr. Ponce was not only condescending, but he refused to listen and allow me to express what/where my pain was coming from. I would say don't let him put his hands on you (he's that bad), but he didn't even do that....he failed to treat and/or evaluate me during my visit, prescribe any tests or recommend next steps in my care. Who goes to a neurologist for pain and comes out without the dr. even having examined you. He wasn't worth his "wall of diplomas"...unless there was one for quackery. Avoid at all costs.

This man should not be practicing medicine. Doesn’t call patients. I had to call the office for an answer to my question about a potentially dangerous drug he prescribed. He never checked my medications. He had the nerve to have the receptionist tell me there were no other options for me. Seriously, who does that?

I am disgusted with this office. The ladies in this office are so unpleasant and rude. Unfortunately my mom can't make it to her next appointment and they yelled at her saying that they can't give her any other appointment besides that day. They made her feel so bad and it was her fault but it was not. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE MISTREATED. The people in this office are miserable!! There are better neurologist elsewhere!!

Dr. Ponce is one of the nicest, courteous doctors I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. He explained everything to me at s level I could understand. I didn’t feel rushed. He was very assuring and knowledgeable. His office staff, on the other hand, needs to learn how to deal with patients.

He was mean. Actually asked me, "So what do you want out of this?" I had no idea what to answer. What an awkward thing to say. How about answers for all of my mystery symptoms and to be healthy. He was VERY cold and hard to speak with. Office staff were fabulous though. Switching to a new doctor in the sams office.

He is not reactive to a patient in pain. No sense of urgency for his patients. He is a wimp when it comes to dealing with complaints on the RUDE office staff. Won't take phone calls from his patients when they have a question! I was going through a rough time and in a lot of pain, as a patient for a few years, it was as if he didn't even care. Didn't recommend a pain specialist, didn't help me when his office staff just sent me away without helping me with pre-approvals, wouldn't return my call.
