It was on my last chance to extend my family with my beautiful wife. I was on my third attempt to secure what required a live sperm fertilization. Dr. Petrella was stepping in for Dr. Ramasamy one of the most esteemed doctors in the field of urology because of an unexpected leave.I had an unwavering confidence when I spoke to Dr. Petrella that morning. I trusted in the higher power who had put him in the situation to be my doctor. The result…is a total success! The surgery was virtually pain free and few weeks later my faith has been realized. Thanks to Dr. Petrella, Dr. Ramasamy and all of The U medical team for making a difficult situation a success.

Waited over an hour to be seen for my scheduled vasectomy. Once I was prepped, Dr. Petrella and his assistant injected the lidocaine and immediately began the procedure without checking first that the area had been properly numbed. I could feel the incision and sharp pain, and communicated this to them. It seemed like they were rushing. Also, in the middle of the procedure, a random other medical person came into the room and started using the computer which felt very uncomfortable and an intrusion of privacy. After the procedure, they did not offer any pain relief medication, which I felt was necessary for recovery. I’m mainly writing this review so that any future patients make sure to check that the area is numb before proceeding!
