He performed a hydrocelectomy on my husband. Nurse did follow up because he didn't show up. Incision started opening and got infected on a Saturday. Answering service refused to get a msg to Garofalo to call us back. They told him to call back Monday because there was nobody on call to see him. Sunday began gushing foul smelling blood and puss from the drain site and he had a high fever. Again no response. Brought him to local ER and he was transferred to UMass. Second surgery performed at UMass to remove infected tissue and drain the wound. UMass Dr. was also unable to reach him to consult. She said it was a hematoma that burst due to non responsiveness when he tried to get seen over the weekend. After 3 days in UMass he was discharged and visiting nurse came to our house daily to clean and repack the wound. Instead of being out of work 2 weeks he was out for 2 months. Someone needs to tell Garofalo that being a surgeon isn't a M-F 9 to 5 job and someone needs to be on call.

WORST experience Ever. A urologist that doesn’t know what a kidney stone is. Tried to get 2CT scans. Forgot one was done. Bedside manner of a dirty bedpan. Sends you to the ER as he’s too busy to see you. Personality of a dead fish. ARROGANT. Needs help. Needs to be treated like he treated me. Fix him right away. Needs to experience pain he expects me to endure. He couldn’t do it. Don’t waste your time. He doesn’t know anything. Good for collecting unemployment. He couldn’t do that either.

BEWARE. Wouldn’t you think a urologist would be able to diagnose a kidney stone? Not Garafollo. Had a CT scan done and then he tried to do another one days later. I Forgot. Thanks for reminding me. Too many patients for him. Months to get in. Favorite phrase, go to the ER. He won’t waste 10 hours in the ER and pay co-pay for you. Personality of a dead fish. Bedside manner of a bedpan. One of the WORST doctors I’ve ever seen. I’m 60 and have seen it all now. Wouldn’t take my dog to him. Useless
