Extremely frustrating experience.
My experience almost exactly mirrors the review listed above. I don't know if I have ever been so frustrated with a doctor and office. This was a waste of my time and money and I ended up having to find another GI doctor.

Lacks empathy
I went to see Dr Francis Dailey for acute pancreatitis. The exam was mostly him sitting in a chair asking a few questions to get names of my primary care provider and other providers I had seen. I was sent to him for pain management follow up after a few days in the hospital for iv fluids and iv pain control. (Acute pancreatitis is very painful) He said he does not prescribe pain medications because he is a gastroenterologist not a pain doctor and suggested I take acetaminophen. Physical exam was him listening with stethoscope for 1 breath and for bowel sounds (about 8 seconds total). He said it was pointless for me to see him that day, but suggested I get an endoscopy or CT scan in a couple of months and then follow up. Office staff was friendly and visit was on time, but visit only lasted about 10 minutes. Visit did not address pain management or anything else. I had to call my primary provider for pain medication. Visit was a complete waste of time and $$.
