do not go to this office
I went to the office because I had kidney concern. Dr Albana, who is a nephrologist, dismissed anything related with kidneys, even though I had genetic trait, symptoms and had it in the family. He did not order any test to do with the kidneys. Once the blood results came and I saw them myself, it showed an issue, then I had a tele heath call with a nurse practitioner. She ordered kidney ultrasound and there was a big problem found. Dr Albana and his office is all about money, not much

Old dirty office and nasty front desk
Never got to actually see the doctor he was never available. Only got to see the NP who was very good. Every time blood work was done we had to schedule another appointment to get the results. They will not give test results over the phone. Also they are not open on Fridays and close at 4pm so good luck for people who work. The last time blood work was done they had no results at all which means it was drawn but never sent to the lab! We changed doctors after that!

doctor is great
The doctor and nursing staff are great but front desk is awful. The reception desk acts as if they ar going you a favor scheduling an appointment. Several incidents with billing where only payment method was cash due to billing code not applicable for testing. Every visit told I did not pay for previous month when actually overpaid due to not having proper change. Front desk attitude was toxic and unwelcoming as if aggravated for being there. Signs for front desk help wanted even in bathroom for months

Insurance issues
I was seeing Dr. Albana for a few years.There was a few hickups with the billing but i figured it was normal. The month of Nov. of 2021 i had blood work at his office to check my iron due to i had bariatric surgery 1.5 years previously. When having such surgery the iron needs to be checked often, so the insurance covers it because its necessary. Their office submitted the bill to my Insurance saying i it was just a normal iron test and it cost me 325.00 bucks. and they flat out REFUSED to change the billing code. This went ok for months back and forth. Even the insurance Co. agreed that it should be changed. The Insurance Co. even called the Dr's office explaining the issue. They still didn't care nor issued a new bill with the correct billing code. Well, i ended up changing doctors and paying 325.00 bucks! Really MAD!

The Doctor was good. But; the billing dept. keeps sending me bills that insurance should handle. I sent them a letter on what to do to correct the problem. They ingored the letter, did nothing and sent me another bill. Would never use him again. Not because of the Doctor, but because of the billing dept. I guess I will have to contact an advocate to help me, because the office will not.

Dr.Albana is a very caring person who listens to his patients. Very knowledgeable and doesn’t sugarcoat anything. You can be yourself and feel comfortable.
