Dr. Florian Gegaj, MD

Very little wait time. However during high snowbird season the wait to see dr. can be a little longer. When in his office,he takes time, explains, knowledgeable and is thorough. He has been my dr for the 8 years I have been in the Villages. His PA , Aubrey, is also professional, caring and competent.

My experience with Dr. Gegaj was terrible. I found him uncaring, uninterested and possibly responsible for my need to go to the ER. He referred me to Citrus Cardiology Group that never returned phone calls or responded to submittal of new patient forms. Why refer to a group that is non-responsive to your patients needs?

Went to do my scheduled blood draw for my upcoming scheduled annual checkup and his office had not sent the orders. Had to reschedule everything. They seem disorganized in his office much of the time. I believe he has too many patients to provide excellent service.

Office staff does not answer the telephone. Office staff does not respond to emails. Office staff did return phone call after 4days of daily calls. Office staff did not put in a most urgent referral for me for glaucoma. After waiting for 10 days to hear from the glaucoma specialist I called them and they had never received a referral. I called Dr. G’s office no answer I left a message no return phone call.

Dr Gegaj is very thorough. He listens well and is excellent about sharing helpful medical information. APRN Aubrey Canal is also excellent. Front desk and check-out are friendly and competent. Highly recommend.

Incredibly knowledgeable and takes excellent care of me

The worse webpage to get into. his staff doesn't understand data entry. every time I try to log in there is a problem. Today I tried to log in using my cell phone and a wrong cell phone number pops up.

Dr.Gegaj is a caring, knowledgeable, and warm physician. He is skilled in caring for both my husband and myself. We enjoy his interaction with us and he really seems to care about giving us excellent care. We have been seeing him for several years and I can say he’s one of the best we’ve ever had. As a retired RN I feel I am treated with dignity and respect and a shared partner in my healthcare when Dr. Gegaj cares for us.

Not likely to recommend him. When I told him about some serious health issues I was having he acted like I was a hypochondriac. He didn't believe me and made accusations about my character. He acted doubtful whether I had had a specialist for cancer before I moved to The Villages. In other words I was making it up.

Always attentive, knowledgeable and cordial.

This doctor keep telling me to,keep hydrated and to loose weight.. One day I looked at my labs, Diagnosus stage 3 kidney disease,he never told me.. When approached he said we don't tell,people to stage 4.. Very disappointed and angry at this doctor..once this hapoend

My husband and I transferred to Dr. Gegaj as our PCP. We were immediately struck by his warm reception of us. He made us feel like valued patients, not just a body going through a rote exam. We have found him to be a superb physician and he is very cautious about sticking us on more pills. He always checks our "continuing issues" and then asks us what new problems or questions we have brought. One very nice touch (besides wishing us a "blessed day" on our way out) is that he will take us both at the same time, a double appointment. It helps us as we have more and more difficulty remembering what has gone on the the previous 6 months! Dr. Gegaj is kind, caring, and very professional. He always enters the room with a big smile and a handshake. When he asks "How have you been?" he actually wants to hear the complete answer, not just "oh, fine." Who is "fine" when they reach their 70's? We have about a 30 minute drive to get to his office - we feel he's worth it!

Dr. Gegaj is very knowledgeable and has a great personal touch in his interaction with his patients. Practice limits his office visits to 15 min. which sometimes frustrates me, however I wouldn’t give him up

I have been with Dr. Gegaj for a number of years and have found him to be knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and helpful. He always takes the time to explain any questions you might have, or any medical conditions, symptoms and treatments. I recommend him to anyone looking for a new physician.

After much research looking for a primary doctor, I recently met Dr Gegaj for the first time as a new patient. He took the time to thoroughly review my medical history, asked many questions & then answered the few questions I had. I found him to be a warm, caring doctor who is very detail oriented.
