Dr. Fiona Shaw, MD

She asked the right questions and the exam was professional and thorough.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Shaw. From the moment she walked in, it felt like she was more focused on getting through the appointment quickly and collecting her payment than providing any real care or insight. She came across as condescending and was far from friendly.When I asked questions, Dr. Shaw was unable to provide helpful or thorough answers. Similarly, she suggested two topical treatments for my face and one for my hair but offered no guidance on when to use them or how they would fit into my routine. She didn’t even inquire about the products I’m currently using or take the time to properly examine my skin.I left the appointment with no real answers or useful advice. I paid a $50 copay, along with whatever my insurance will pay, for what felt like a waste of my time. I won’t be returning to see Dr. Shaw and do not recommend her to others.

I saw Dr. Shaw for a follow up for an issue that has been ongoing for years. I went to 5x other doctors before I found her. They all misdiagnosed my issue. I was put on unnecessary medications and spent load of money on prescriptions that weren't right. Dr. Shaw diagnosed my issue immediately and took the time to provide me with the information about my issue. She is patient, kind, efficient, and trustworthy. Dr. Shaw is awesome.

I was greeted by Dr Shaw in a friendly and professional manner. She asked if I had any concerns or questions. She addressed all concerns and answered all of my questions. She did not try to sell any additional services or products.

I have had positive experiences with other practitioners at US Dermatology, but not with Dr. Shaw. She barely spent 3 minutes in the room with me, did not look at my rash closely and was very dismissive when I asked her any questions. Said she would give me a prescription for a cream to try and said to come back in 3 months. I will not be going back to her, it was a complete waste of my time and money to visit Dr. Shaw.

She was very thorough and listened to all of my concerns.

My teenager had such a disappointing visit with Fiona Shaw. My kids have seen other dermatologists in this practice for many years including Dr. Silverman and Dr. Ellison who are all very good doctors. Fiona Shaw is a recent addition to the practice and she has no bedside manner whatsoever and has a condescending and patronizing attitude - she performed no inspection of my child's skin and made no eye contact when speaking. What kind of dermatologist refuses to exam the skin of a patient? I will make sure not to make an appointment with Fiona Shaw in the future. I would give zero stars if possible.

I tried Dr Shaw for my annual check up. I was so disappointed. I relayed all my concerns to the assistant who greeted me, walked me to the room and took notes of my concerns. I then waited in a paper gown for 20 min in a freezing room for Dr Shaw. When she came in there was no apology for keeping me waiting. She asked me the same questions the assistant did. When I asked if the assistant could pls tell her the names of the meds I was using (they are complicated prescription names), she said she wanted to hear it from me. Does that mean you didn’t review my chart before coming in? Or are you just wasting my time by having me repeat? I think she didn’t review my chart ahead of time because she was unaware of notes that were there until I pointed it out. Her exam was cursory at best, she didn’t provide requested samples or help with additional treatments I requested. She did refill my prescription.

She checked everything and was quick and thorough.

First visit but so far so good!

She provided no immediate substantive help in diagnosing my issue, or providing a definitive care plan. Everything sounded like an unsure guess. She suggested skin testing as if she couldn’t think of other options and I have to wait two months for that. Neither she nor her assistant showed themselves to be confident or competent.

Efficient, decisive, matter of fact, and delivered good news.

Excellent. She was On time,Polite, Informative, Patient, answered all my and her Nurse (assistant) also answered my questions questions. I am 80 years old and she is the first Doctor to put her cell phone number on my 'take home instructions'. She did say I could text her, but in an emergency call back if she does not answer the first time or call the 800 Number.

Dr. Shaw was great and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dermatologist.

Dr. Shaw barely spoke. She did not examine my skin or come near me to see the issues I was having. She was in the room for less than 3 minutes and gave minimal explanations on the next steps or what certain medications would do. I had to carry the entirety of the conversation, she did not ask any questions about the issues I have been having with my skin. In addition, she gave me zero advice or helpful information for an issue common among patients, acne.

I just said that she seemed in a hurry.

Dr. Shaw is attentive and has a nice personality. She addressed all of my concerns and took the necessary steps to resolve my issues. I look forward to my follow up visit.

Easy to talk to and she walked through what she was doing and looking for throughout the exam.
