Waiting to see if this mess get cleared up.
Disappointed. Dr. Silva recommended that my son should get major surgery on back for a curved upper curved spine. He and a Doctor downtown would work together. Asked how long it would take to get it set up. 2 or 3 weeks. This was in August. He had to see the other doctor. His assistant set up the appointment for October 24 with Dr Hanson. He called today and they said they had no record of his appointment. He has waited 2 months just to get to see Dr. Hanson.And now he gets to wait 3 more weeks just to get to see the Doctor. He has suffered with condition since 2019..

Frustrated
He literally spent not even 5 minutes with me. Did not look at the MRI I brought with me and said 'don't let anyone operate on your spine that is not the problem'. Well, I'm here to tell you IT WAS my spine and after a great orthopedic doctor SHOWED me my MRI and saw that my discs were pressing into the spinal cord causing my pain in my right arm. I'm off to surgery. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Silva to anyone. He acted like I was wasting his time and rushed me...same with his nurse. Steer clear.

Great consultation. Explained my issue thoroughly
I was very concerned about stenosis and the results of a recent MRI. He explained my condition and the results in great detail. I was relieved and pleased with his concern and diagnosis.

Excellent neurosurgeon, I underwent a laminectomy for spine decompression with excellent results, the expectation of improvement in quality of life, was 80% but in practice it has been 100%. zero pain currently after more than a year. I walk 5 to 6 Kms. almost daily and go to the gym about four times a week, zero pain, thank you so much, forever grateful. I am 75 years old.

Trustworthy Diagnosis
I have seen Dr Silva three times regarding my crumbling cervical spine. He reviews the most recent MRI with me, test the strength of my limbs and balance. Advises on lifting limits, exercise and pain mgmt. He doesn't try to rush me under the knife. I trust him having my best interest first before any other doctor. I can't imagine when I do need surgery having anyone but Dr. Silva do the work.

Left Painfully with no answer
I expect for a doctor to listen to my symptoms and not to interrupt while I am talking. That is what Dr Silvia’s personality is like. I felt like I was wasting HIS time. No physical exam was done, and my concerns were dismissed. I even had this internal voice telling me he was thinking I was making it up, even though the tests showed otherwise. I left in pain with no answers, very discouraged. He was so rushed with me, I couldn’t even imagine him taking focused time if he was to do surgery. I do not plan on a future with this physician.

He was the most dismissive doctor I have ever met! Told me that "I did not look like I was in pain" and my MRI with a large disc herniation didn't match my symptoms so didn't need any treatment.
