A Master of his Profession
Dr. Fernando Levaro-Pano of Reconstructive Orthopedic Center is a true master of his profession! After my arm was very badly mauled by a dog, Dr. Levaro-Pano immediately admitted me into surgery where he began his magic of rebuilding my entire forearm, literally inside and out. I am now in the healing stages where my scars are healing and I am slowly getting back use of my arm, hand, and fingers. Dr. Levaro-Pano, along with his surgical and office teams, are a skilled group of medical doctors, nurses, and assistants. They are compassionate with their patients and have a very soothing bedside manner. I would highly recommend Dr. Fernando Levaro-Pano for anyone looking for an excellent hand surgeon! He gets a five out of five star rating from me!Thank you for your expertise and thoughtful kindness Dr. Levaro-Pano

He saved my right arm and hand
Dr Levaro saved and reconstructed my hand after it was nearly severed by an assault rifle. He was also instrumental in ensuring that hand was full functional post op. He also did a fantastic job with the full thickness skin graft over the second wound I sustained, and it looks good! Doess not look like a gunshot wound at all.

Complete Disregard for a Human Being
I was treated with gross inconsideration by Levaro-Pano and staff. Too many patients scheduled for the same time. I waited to be seen for almost two hours before I gave up and left. After waiting an hour, approached front desk and asked for reschedule. She replied in disinterested voice, 'I'll check with the dr and let you know.' I returned to exam room, but she never did. When I left 45 minutes later without seeing doctor, she shook her head and laughed. Most disturbing was the computer screen with large status chart on display in my exam room. No names, but patients were labeled new patient, follow-up, or post-op with other details displayed and announced by a computerized voice. Exam rooms had glass, transparent doors. I was the only one out of 13 patients that was high-lighted in red the entire time. Why was I singled out? What did red mean... 'Ignore this patient'...? Several other troubling issues but not enough space to list here. Something very wrong at this practice.

No issue too small for caring attention
I did not see Dr. Levaro for a traumatic injury, but rather a small, bothersome cyst on the back of my hand. I can tell you that even with this relatively insignificant problem, Dr. Levaro treated me with the same compassionate concern as, per these reviews, he's treated all his serious cases. I am grateful for the quality of care I received from him and his entire staff and have already recommended him to members of my family.

I had the best possible experience with Dr. Levaro. His calm manner, the caring, confident way he handled my injured hand during examination and surgery, and my positive outcome post-surgery are all testament to his great expertise. I was referred to him by a local emergency clinic and didn't know about him before. I feel very lucky to have wound up under the care of such a capable surgeon. I was bit by a dog BAD, and had a deep slash wound in my palm and a serious laceration on my thumb. I got 12 stitches, 8 in my palm, 4 in my thumb. The Doc-in-a-Box cleaned my injuries but said "These are too serious for us, you need a real hand surgeon" and sent me to Dr. Levaro. He was exceedingly careful to ensure that I didn't feel pain during the exam and surgery. He spent a long time cleaning my injuries, assuring me they would not get infected (dog bites often do). They didn't! Not good to get bit by a dog, very good to wind up with such a good doctor. Thank You Dr. Levaro!

This is my second surgery with Dr. Levaro. What an amazing guy. 4 years back Dupuytren's Contracture surgery on the really bad right hand. Scarring looked horrible initially and quite scary. It healed as if there was no scar at all. Most importantly, this doctor has no problem getting to know his patients personally and uses that to the benefit of treatment. Two weeks ago, second surgery for left hand same thing, adding Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Less than two weeks, back at work. Little to no pain. YOU MUST DO the physical therapy. Be proactive with it and know that at the end of the road, it will all be great. I cannot say enough good things about him and his practice. Not only is he great, but the staff is great too. Quite the operation ( no pun intended). I have suggested him to many already including two brothers with same issues. Goooo Dr. Levaro. Have a great day.

Dr. Levaro is a very kind and compassionate doctor as well as a truly gifted surgeon. He took over my care from another hand surgeon after a severe wrist fracture. When I arrived at his office, I had significant pain and very limited movement in my wrist and fingers along with a severely frozen shoulder. I was very distraught and didn’t have much hope of regaining any function. Dr. Levaro was very honest in describing what he could do to help me. I spent a little over a year under his care with intense physical therapy. During this time, he performed two surgeries which helped me regain significant function in my hand and wrist without any of the pain and swelling that I experienced with my prior surgeon. I also spent countless hours with his physical therapy group who went above and beyond for me. I am convinced that moving to Dr. Levaro was absolutely a life changing decision for me. I can’t express how truly grateful I am for everything he and his therapy group have done for me.

I was injured in an explosion and the results were a Brachial Plexus Injury. I had lost total movement in my arm and hand and was informed when leaving the hospital that was as good as it would get. My wife located Dr. Levaro and from the first time I meet the doctor I could not imagine ever using any other surgeon. He explains everything he plans on doing to the point you will understand it. It would be hard if not impossible to find another surgeon or staff that will treat you as they do. He has recovered the use of my hand and more than ¾ the use of my arm and he still isn’t done. Every day I thank God for Dr. Lavaro. We see him more as a family friend then our doctor. Sincerely Keith & Shannon Kroell

I had double crunch carpel tunnel. Dr. Levaro informed me I would need surgery to correct it. Dr. Levaro did an excellent job on my surgery. After the surgery I only had to take one pain pill and healed nicely. Dr. Lavaro and his team made me feel that they really cared about me as a person and wanted me to have a better life without having a problem with my hand. Dr. Levaro and his team are the best in my book. If I ever need to see an Orthopedic doctor again it will be Dr. Levaro

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Levaro. After having dislocated my right wrist and crushing the bones in it in November 2016, Dr. Levaro performed emergency surgery at one a.m. after he was already off call. The surgery lasted several long hard hours, and he showed true care and diligence throughout. My OT and family doctor could not get over the fantastic job he did. Not only did Dr. Levaro do an amazing job during the surgery, but his kindness and caring nature has made this proc

Dr. Levaro repaired my Scaphoid Lunate ligament in Jan. 2016, and I am very pleased with the results. Dr. Levaro came highly recommended by 2 medical sales reps who have watched his surgeries and many other local hand/wrist specialist. He carefully reviewed my case over the course of several appointments providing in depth discussion of the injury and techniques to repair it. This was my worst injury amongst many and it was the best experience with a doctor.

My husband's hand was badly destroyed from a motorcycle accident. Memorial Hermann told us that Dr. Levaro was the best doctor that could reconstruct his hand. The reconstruction he did on my husband's hand is amazing!!! We are very grateful for the work and compassion from Dr. Levaro. He is such a caring, emphatic and knowledgeable Micro Surgeon! My daughter's finger was crushed in the door. After visit g the ER we were asked to see a specialist as it was open fracture. A family friend strongly recommended Dr Levaro. Dr Levaro was very patient, careful , diligent and friendly with my 6yr old. He quickly diagnosed after looking at the wound and x-rays that bone was broken and nailbed was impacted. He performed successful surgery on the finger avoiding any deformity on her finger. We are very happy with Dr Levaro
