Had high hopes and expectations but he didn’t meet them. He seemed to lack interest in my points of concern and was equivocal. Seemed annoyed when I tried to describe what was I experiencing, like I was interrupting his canned speech about my particular issue. I came very prepared to mention certain things but he was more interested in talking at me. He dismissed much of my experience and rested on his assumptions. Had a better experience with the audiologist who said she was very familiar with what I was experiencing. I hoped Dr.Santos could further illuminate but he seemed unwilling or uninterested in challenging his preconceived ideas. I expected more from someone at a premier institution.

I have been going to Mass Eye & Ear for about 11 years now I am so glad I found Dr. Santos he is a very patient he listens to your concerns and guides you for the best treatment. He just about always runs on time and if he is not he doesn't make you feel rushed.

I recently had a phone visit with Dr. Santos about my defective AB cochlear implant. The implant was implanted in October of 2016. I am, needless to say, quite upset about this situation. I certainly thought I would have had many more years of use. Dr. Santos explained Revision Surgery and I elected to have it done.

I was diagnosed with a malformation that sat on my facial nerve. Very rare, went to 3 different doctors that specialize in this. Two in NY and Dr. Santos. I live NJ and had issues with insurance. Once I switched to Cigna I was connected with Dr. Santos. This is all through a pandemic. I was very concerned, as my condition was getting worse and facial nerves getting weakening. Dr. Santos didn't even heist and coordinated a zoom call with me within, a week of initial talks, to discuss what was going on. I sent him my images. Dr. Santos and his team got me on his surgical schedule within 4 weeks. My surgery went well. Obviously, this is a life changing issue that I am still going through but I felt like Dr. Santos and his team were fantastic throughout this process. He is talking to my facial nerve dr in NYC as well to make this even more seamless. I cannot thank him and his team.

Dr. Santos is one of the best! I have been deaf in my right ear for majority of my life due to a cholesteatoma and many doctors told me my hearing is the best it will be and there is nothing they can do. Santos took the time to listen and understand my past history to find a solution. He recently preformed surgery for a replacement prosthetic and I’m already noticing a difference! I 100% recommend seeing him.

This was my first visit, and Dr. Santos had looked at all my prior records and reviewed not only the results of a former MRI, but also the actual image. I had even forgotten about that MRI. He was informative, answered all my questions, and proactively helped me understand what to expect and not expect as well as my options. He was very personable and professional. I am grateful to have found someone with his experience and expertise that I can trust and respect!

Dr. Santos is a world-class physician. Prior to meeting Dr. Santos, I had been deaf in my left ear for 25 years. Dr. Santos performed a total ossicular replacement prosthesis, which restored my hearing! He has an excellent bedside manner, and sets very realistic expectations. The surgery itself was seamless and perfectly executed by Dr. Santos. I would highly recommend him.
