Dr. Fatima Hakkak, DO

Dr Hakkak was very rude and demeaning to me when I was visiting my husband. She wanted to transfer my husband for a Cholecystectomy to UCLA because of his ascending aortic aneurysm. She lied in her notes that I did not want him transferred because of my pet. I explained to her that I would have to find someone on short notice to watch our children in order to get down to UCLA. We live in Claremont and it is a 2 hour drive. She also lied in her notes that she spent an hour speaking to us. I would not recommend her as a cardiologist.

Dr Hakkak wrote me a prescription for my hypertension. Because my appt was covered by workers comp the prescription couldn't be filled without her submitting her notes from my appointment. Over a 3 week period I called 5 times, sent 4 emails to her staff, drove to her office (she wasn't in) and sent 1 email to her directly, each time asking that she finish her job so that I could get my prescriptions. She NEVER did. The workers comp company ended up putting in an emergency request for my meds and I've found a new Dr that does his job.

Dr. Hakkak is a very compassionate and personable doctor, you can tell she cares about her patients, even when she just meets you, she can give that warm feeling inside, that a family member might give you, and I'm sorry that I can't have her as a personal doctor, only due to insurance reasons. She's very thorough, and wants to know all of your medical history and your families medical history, before she even talks about your medical issues. She's really sharp and wants to make sure, she answers all your questions and I can't say enough about Dr. Hakkak.

Listens to questions, provides answers and recommendations. Is familiar with medicine and looks for ideas and answers that work for the individual.

I have been seeing Dr Hakkak for a few months now and I love her! You can tell that her patients are her first priority. She genuinely listens and works to find a solution for you. Can not recommend her enough!

Dr. Hakkak took the time to sit down and listen to my concerns. I did not feel rushed, she explained all my results with a plan of care we both agreed on. I so impressed with Dr. Hakkak I referred my mother and other family members to see her too.

My wife and I both see Dr. Hakkak. We have found her to be an excellent physician and very caring person. She always takes time to go over our medical history and explain things in detail. Dr. Hakkak communicates in a straightforward way that is compassionate in its origins. We have a high degree of trust in Dr. Hakkak and can recommend her without reservation.

I first met Dr. Hakkak in the E.R. From the beginning she assured me that she was going to do everything possible to treat my condition. She kept her word! Her persistence to have certain tests conducted, found a defect in my heart. Thanks to her, I am being seen by other specialist and receiving the medical treatment I have long sought. Dr. Hakkak is a true professional.

Dr. Hakkak was great! She took the time to go over my medical history in detail. Not many Dr.'s do that nowadays. She explained eveything in detail and we went over a detailed plan. Highly recommended.

Dr. Hakkak is caring and compassionate. She took her time and explained my abnormal EKG in a way that I could understand. She even had me call my wife and put her on speaker so that she could explain things to the both of us! I have never had a doctor so caring as to do this. She is very thorough and energetic. Absolutely loved my experience!

Just had my first visit with Dr. Hakkak and she was very thorough, went over my bloodwork and made notes for me to keep, scheduled tests and asked a varied amount of questions. She spoke very fast I had to ask her to slow it down once and I must admit it could be the mask. I will be keeping her as my Dr.

Dr. Hakkak, impressed me the moment she walked in my husband’s hospital room. She let him know he was not following her advice and was not having it! I loved her straight forward, honest approach, but more than that, she knows what she is doing. She is tops in her field. Dr. Hakkak went out of her way to get my husband transferred to Cedars Sinai where they could perform a special surgery. Her care and concern was over and above normal duty. She gave us the confidence we needed at such a scary time, offering support, care and expertise. We highly recommend her!!!!

It’s amazing to finally find a doctor who actually listens and treats you like a whole person not just a body part they are looking in to. She is thorough and I feel confident she will get to the bottom of my issues . I am very grateful to be working with her to get to the bottom of issues that have been plaguing me my whole life. I definitely recommend her. We are driving an hour and a half to see her and it’s well worth it!

Fantastic appointment with Dr Hakkak. She was extremely thorough and explained my scenario in a perfect way. Her post plan for me is exactly what I was hoping for. I feel very comfortable with Dr Hakkak and her staff. I feel I am under great care with her practice.
