Very smart & thorough endocrinologist
I was referred to Dr. Farzana Naqvi after being hospitalized for high glucose. It became obvious that what I was doing wasn't working and Dr. Navqi was patient in my assessment, ordering labs for further testing, discussing my results with me, and changing meds based on test results. My diabetes is under control after these changes and putting me on a CGM. If you're looking for a touchy-feely doctor, you may want to reconsider, but personally I prefer a smart and thorough doctor who is going to kick my butt a little bit, but listen to me and have my best interest in my treatment. My health, my responsibility. I have a best friend, I am not looking for that in a doctor! I've been very happy with my care from Dr. Farzana Naqvi.

She is On the Ball! Highly recommended
I’ve gone only about 3 times to Dr. Naqvi only three times but feel she has, by far, the most impressive endocrinologist I’ve seen. She’s sharp and I plan on staying with her!

Not at all
I was seeing Dr. Naqvi in CA for almost a year and suddenly moved to NYC. I asked Naqvi's office for a 30 day extension on my medication to hold me over until I saw the earliest available NYC Endocrinologist. Her office refused to set up a video conference, even though she used to do those, and would only issue me a 15 day extension- which is two weeks short of what I need for this important daily medication. (There are tremendous side effects when going off this med, such as, hair loss, fatigue, bloating, etc.) When I continued to ask for an exception due to my relocation, the office receptionist hung up the phone on me and would not answer my call when I called back. This is NOT a doctor's office that cares about the patient wellbeing or making sure they are taken care of- no matter where they live. I was willing to get bloodwork done here and do whatever I needed to, to extend my medication.

Talk down to you. Don’t let you talk and drag you you there every 10 days without lab result. Money hungry and she is as rude as her staff. I did switch.

Have had several visits with Dr. Naqvi. Some were office visits, and some were video visits. She has always been very caring, she always listens attentively, and she always works toward getting my questions answered as quickly as possible. She is very committed to finding out what her patients' needs are, and then meeting or exceeding their expectations as to the best treatment, and, or medication for their particular medical problem, or condition. I, especially value her very caring approach to her patients' medical concerns.

Dr Naqvi and her staff are rude and condescending. We mutually decided to remove my mother from her care because she certainly expects the patients to do all the work, including follow up on progress and not to expect much from her. She had to be checked by us on her behavior Her staff is equally rude and speak down to patients in a very condescending manner. Dr Naqvi has zero bedside manners! When we questioned her behavior she had the audacity to refuse us further care.

Not easy to find a smart, strong, yet very compassionate doctor - ESPECIALLY in Endocrinology. My former Endo (that I LOVED!) closed her practice for family reasons and I had a hard time finding that one in a million Endo docs who would not just would not just treat me like a number - and I found her! SO happy w/Dr. Naqvi! Yes, she IS strict, but that is what I need! My thyroid and menopause issues are complex and Dr.Naqvi leaves no stone unturned in quickly assessing the components. I feel SO much better! And, unlike a couple of other posters, I find that it is me who wants to see her more often! She and her staff give me great peace of mind that things will be on the right path ahead for a very long time! THANK YOU, Dr.Naqvi. You and your caring staff make my visits very helpful!

Dr. Naqvi is very stubborn and will not listen to the patient. However, she is very firm & I give her credit for getting me to test my glucose regularly. Not sure but, it seems that she "milked" office visits. She had be coming back about every 3 - 4 weeks for a while without consideration for the cost to me. Additionally, she clearly stated to me on multiple occasions that I should not use the carbs on the manufacturer's labels because they can't be trusted. Then, what do I use?
