He was never anywhere near on time for his appointments. Give yourself a 2 hour window. He does not actually tell you the risks of the medications. He just says this drug is very safe, he would put his own daughters on it if needed. Pregnant women need to really know the risks. My baby was going through withdrawal when she was born and then I was told I can breastfeed by him. It was absolutely not safe to breastfeed with the drugs I was on. He said I just needed to have the baby's cheek touch by breast for bonding. Yeah that's not exactly what breastfeeding is about for most women. The way he diagnoses certain disorders is not recognized by any other psychiatrist, checking your mouth etc.

Doesn’t care about his patients, always late. Wife is secretary and makes excuses for why he isn’t in the office, all the time. When his office was on 159th st. I wasn’t seen until 12:30 am, and my original appt was scheduled at 5:30pm. I have a new Dr. now that is excellent and is always on time within regular business hours. Now with how great my new psychiatrist is, I often wonder why people would ever deal with Dr. Karimi at all.

Dr Karimi hasn't personally seen me in years. When he was the one in the office I would wait HOURS to see him. Over the last two years he has vanished and a revolving doors of physician's assistants have taken over his patients, each with a different approach and philosophy than the one before. It is exhausting as a patient.
