Dr. Fareed Tabatabai, MD

Hello - (my previous review wasn't published for some reason, so I'm trying it again.) Dr. Tabatabai was extremely helpful and empathetic as he listened to me describe the traumatic events in my life. I felt very validated. He had good insights, and the medications he prescribes for me help a great deal with my trauma-based anxiety. Highly recommended!

I have been blessed with having Dr. T as my doctor since 1995. He is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, empathetic, trusting, and genuinely cares about his patients. Even as his practice has grown over the years, he continues to be the same caring physician and takes his time and never makes me feel rushed! I can’t stress just how truly caring and trustworthy Dr. T is. And his staff!? The best team I could ever ask for! IF Dr. T or his nursing staff are unavailable, it’s Maureen and Lisa to the rescue !!! They are simply lovely!! These woman are not just receptionists!!! They go above and beyond!! If you call in and they sense you’re in distress, they will make sure you’re ok before hanging up. These women are busy and they don’t need to do that…but they do!!! Because they too are genuine caring individuals!!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Dr. Tabatabai basically saved my life. I suffer from panic attacks and high anxiety and the medicine he put me on makes me feel completely normal again. Thank God for Dr. Tabatabai.

Doctor Tabatabai is invested in my problems and tries to help me solve them. He listens carefully to what I have to say and gives good advice.

Dr. Tabatabai, or "Dr. T.", as some refer to him, is one of the most thorough, caring, and knowledgeable doctors I've ever known. He takes his time explaining lab tests, medication changes, and counseling suggestions. He makes you feel at ease from the get-go. Because of doctor shortages in Illinois, he's very busy, but if you don't have an emergency, it's worthwhile to try to schedule an appointment with him.

This physician is amazing. He is very kind and compassionate. Unfortunately his support staff are less than competent. Twice now they were supposed to fax documents related to a medical leave, twice they have failed. The first time resulting in my being sent home from my place of employment. The second time causing me not to be able to return to work because appropriate documentation was not submitted timely. This occurred even after contacting them multiple times in effort to avoid issues.

Dr. Tabatabai is the best of the best. I trust him with my life because he saved my life. I trust his opinions and ask for opinions on other doctors I have to see. He has never led me wrong. I have been seeing him almost 20 years now for depression and anxiety. There is no one better than Dr. Tabatabai.
