Truly unconscionable behavior related to the management of female pain. She inserted an IUD without anesthetic and in response to my guttural utterance of agony said 'calm down, you're fine, you could go to the gym if you want.' Shameful.

My review is based on multiple visits with Dr. Sasan until I left her practice. Consistently on each visit, her manner was condescending, impatient and surprisingly rude for a professional (different from being straightforward). More concerningly, she would regularly interrupt me within my first sentence and interject with incorrect assumptions, and not allow me to clarify; I could not finish my sentences without her jumping in with presumptuous comments about my understanding and incorrectly finishing my sentences for me, usually derailing the conversation from the actual issue and spending the bulk of the visit talking over me about matters not relevant to my situation. It was truly difficult to have a productive two-way conversation with her and to feel she respected me as a patient and person. I noticed the different reviews she receives; I believe it's from inconsistent treatment of her patients, as I noticed her manner was very warm and familiar with some but cold towards others -- which is great, if you want your doctor to feel like your friend -- if they like you -- but not great if you're looking for an unbiased healthcare professional. I visited her several times, in case it took time to warm up to a new patient, but every time the experience was the same and I no longer felt I was receiving proper care from a physician who wouldn't pause to understand the patient-specific issues and assumes the patient is medically uninformed. I'm glad my visits were routine and without serious medical concerns; her tendency to dismiss a patient's comments and talk over them would have been a major red flag in the case of more serious issues.

I had a terrible experience with Dr Sasan. She cancelled office appointments with me to handle delivering other patients’ babies which is completely understandable. However, when I went into labor, she had to attend to office visits and had another doctor, who I had never met, deliver my baby. Talk about feeling abandoned.

I never write reviews but she is the worst doctor EVER!!! She is so cold, she dismisses all your questions. She was my OB for my second pregnancy and I regret not switching to another doctor. When I went into labor she was so mean to me and rushed me to a c-section. She did not care at all about what I had to say. She made me scared to ask any questions because she will have cold responses and made me feel like a fool for asking. She has absolutely no empathy.

I like it that she was concise and got straight to the point. Like any relationship, some people aren’t compatible and others are. My experience with her was straight to the point. No bs like how most people do when you’re expecting. And that’s something I needed during a scary time like pregnancy and birth. I respect her honesty and letting me know exactly what to expect.

I’ve never felt compelled to write a negative review about anything or anyone. But after seeing Dr. Sasan on four occasions, I can objectively say that she’s the coldest, most impersonal doctor I’ve ever encountered. During our last annual she told me, “I don’t care what you do with your body.” And she seemed annoyed when I asked her a simple question about genetic testing. Leaving her office, I’ve consistently felt as though I was merely a number and not a human being. She is the absolute worst

Dr. Sasan was not my established OB GYN but she was the one on call when I went into labor three weeks early. She was excellent! She was very clear with instructions and encouraging during the birth when I didn't think I could go anymore. I was terrified of labor but she made the experience comfortable (as comfortable as labor could be). Her bed side manner is straight to the point and she lets you know exactly what's going on.

Terrible bed side manner. Very cut and dry, to the point, sterile with very little personality. Didn't spend much time considering my questions or thoughts, would always breeze over any issue I brought up. Asked about a birth plan and she completely brushed me off and never brought up the issue again. Refused to discuss anything regarding birth until much later in the pregnancy, didn't want to discuss interventions until two days before my 42nd wk. Ran blood tests without my permission.

I delivered a baby at Mt. Sinai, and soon thereafter, as I was soon to leave the hospital, saw and overheard Dr. Sasan quoting her (confidential) conversation with me, laughing at me, and making fun of me to someone on the phone with her office door wide open. I complained to the head of obstetrics at Mt. Sinai, and no one ever followed up with me. She is unethical and unprofessional and I would urge everyone to steer clear.
