Unresponsive office staff
My husband has been seeing Dr Amjad for a couple years now. He is an excellent doctor, but his front office staff are incredibly rude and unresponsive. This has been a chronic issue culminating in a recent attempt to set up a follow up in response to my husband’s recent ER visit. The receptionist was curt, rude continually cutting my husband off. They said they would pass a message onto the doctor. That was 3 weeks ago, 2 calls, a voicemail and an email later and no one has responded. I wish I could say this was the first time we’ve dealt with this here but it isn’t. Keep in mind the ER was recommending a quick follow up. Very frustrating. We’ve dealt with many physicians and physicians offices over the years and have never encountered such unresponsiveness and rudeness from office staff. It’s a shame because he is a good doctor, when you can actually access him.

This was a very disappointing experience. He wasn't interested in listening or reviewing my situation and made very poor and inaccurate assumptions. Total waste of time.

Know your doctor. Be a patient patient
For all of those people who complained that Dr Amjad is always running late. There is a very simple reason for this. MED STAR limits the amount of time for each appointment. Dr. Amjad does not. He gives as MUCH time as needed to each patient. So, if you are the impatient type of patient, schedule your appointment early in the day. Personally, I prefer late in the day for my appointments. I take a book and read, while I wait. Why do I do this? Because Dr Amjad has treated my Parkinsons Disease since shortly after it was diagnosed in 2014. Over nine years. The care I have received has removed all visible symptoms of my Parkinsons disease. I have no sign of tremor and when I am in public, no one can even tell that I have the disease. Good care is worth waiting for.
