Dr. Evelyn Arboleda, MD

I started seeing Dr.Arboleda a couple of months ago . I was really feeling “not here” . I had been feeling that way since I got to Virginia. I moved from Maryland where everything was “all good” but here in VA it’s so different! When I went to see Dr. Arboleda it’s like my whole world changed! She got my medication right and for the 1st time in 3 years…. I WAS HAPPY! THANKS DOC YOU SHE SAVED MY LIFE!

I have been going to Dr. Arboleda for almost 35 years now. First for major anxiety & depression. then in 2000. I suffered a traumatic brain injury. Her level of dealing with these combined issues on a one-on-one basis is exemplary. She communicates well with your entire medical team to ensure you receive the best available overall care. Sometimes it may take time to find the exact treatment that you need. Granted, it may take some attempts to find the exact medication that works best for you; however, everyone’s system & symptoms aren’t the same. Its the connection, trust & willingness to with your Dr. that I believe provide the best outcome.

I have been a patient of Dr. Arboleda for upwards of 15 years. Dr. Arboleda and her team (no matter which therapists are on staff) are the proverbial "cream-of-the crop" in the Hampton Roads and Greater Tidewater area for mood disorders and all psychiatric/psychological disorder treatment. Without their constant care and help, I would have been lost in the ever growing population of stigmatized "mentally ill". I am healthy, happy and thrive in life primarily because of my treatments there. I have a VNS (google that) and am cognitively aware of my Bipolar symptoms, as well as my psychological symptoms and recognize that I can "do Life" on my own terms. Kudos to Associates of York, Evelyn Arboleda, Bea Klusman and all the staff.

I saw Ashley for 5 years. She knew my story well and had me tested etc. I was doing really good on the meds she gave me. Ashley left, I saw a new Dr ONE TIME, she dropped me off every med. Told me I didn't need adderall because its " not like I have a job or anything. Very know it all and does NOT listen. Avoid these people!

The worse one ever I been too.

Doc is great, but office staff turns away people. If you are a patient and they have not seen you in over a year, you get thrown back into the new patient pool and have to wait for them to call you with a cancellation. It's become a nightmare trying to get in and get meds.

Started going to dr Arboleda as a child, she began prescribing me medications for bipolar disorder before I was ever tested for any sort of disorder. She lied constantly. Once she lectured me on the importance of exercising and told me that one of her patients was so severely depressed she had to have electro shock therapy, but even she managed to work out. Electro shock therapy has been illegal for decades. I was a small child and she has destroyed my self esteem for life.

I've been going to dr. Arbolito for about 2 years she's very easy to talk to and she listens and she doesn't try to rush you out of her office, very good doctor
