Dr. Merrill was so kind and gentle with my very sore foot. I battle with chronic pain, so an ingrown toenail just added to my misery. He took care of the issue quickly and with the bare minimum of discomfort. Dr. Merrill and his staff were courteous and accommodating. Our family has entrusted Dr. Merrill with our podiatry needs for many years, and plan to continue for many more. Highly recommended.

From the time I walked through the door for my initial visit, to now one week post op, Dr. Merrill and his staff proved to be a part of one the friendliest and most professional clinics I have been privileged to experience. Dr. Merrill put me at ease with his positive and friendly bedside manner and professional expertise. I would highly recommend Southern Oregon Foot & Ankle Clinic to anyone!

First time visit to any podiatrist. Nothing major, more of a check up. Had a good nail trim. Now I just need to keep the nails short.

Time management is important to me and Dr. Merrill and his staff use it wisely. They take the time needed but don't leave me sitting in the waiting room or an empty office. Dr. Merrill saw a problem with my feet and referred me to a dermatologist and I appreciate that, it was the right decision.

Dr. Merrill was kind & knowledgeable however, 1 hour and a half seems a little excessive for a doctor visit with a couple x-ray, just to tell me what I already knew, that I have flat feet and arthritis, that's why they give me pain. I did receive a phone call informing me my insurance didn't cover the 1 Medical treatment Doctor Mario recommended. I then asked about the surgery to both of my ankles, Dr. Merrill said he could perform And if she would check and see if that procedure would be covered by my insurance. but I have never heard back from billing about my inquiry.

Dr. Merrill is very interesting what you have to say. He listens and then explains your condition. I have been seeing him over 8 years now and would not trust my footcare to anyone else.

I very much appreciated many things about Dr. Merrill's office: friendly and attentive staff and the relaxed atmosphere, unlike many of the Medford doctor's offices which feel more like factories. Dr. Merrill himself was personable and got the job done carefully and efficiently!

Dr. Merrill knows what he's doing. He's not outspoken, but focuses on your foot injury (or any other reason why you're there), and tells you what needs to be done. It's so refreshing to find a doctor like that. He operated on my foot and I feel certain that it's going to be a huge improvement. I never felt apprehensive. His office staff is wonderful too—always so helpful and cheerful. If you have foot or ankle problems, go see Dr. Merrill.

Dr. Merrill gave me relief from two bunions that were on my right foot. I am so glad that I was referred to him, because I had almost given up on ever having pain free feet. Dr. Merrill is very compassionate and he explained everything to me. My appointment was not rushed and I was given all the time I needed for my questions. His Staff is wonderful too! Everyone was so kind to me. Nice clean and comfortable office. Conveniently located. They even supplied me with crutches and an awesome boot! ?

I was a patient for about a decade for arthritis in my foot. He was always great and helped me to keep running. I finally had a bad enough incident that I chose to have surgery on one of my feet and it was so amazing I immediately had surgery on the other. Two years later and I am still running pain free for the first time since my early twenties. I could not be happier with the outcome or the wonderful office staff. I could not recommend them any higher. dr. Merrill deserves high praise.

Rheumatoid Arthritis had deformed my left foot to the point of not being able to wear shoes comfortably and took away from my active lifestyle. Dr. Merrill and his great staff of nurses gave me the confidence to move forward with the complicated surgery. I am so thankful for Dr. Merrill’s excellent surgical skills and am so happy to be back in my regular shoes, pain free and active again!

I’ve been treated by Dr. Merrill for 3 issues over the years. 1) a stubborn plantar wart, 2) Plantar Fasciitis (remedied by custom orthotics). 3) Metatarsophalangeal joint arthroplasty (bone spur removal), which went smoothly as an outpatient at the nearby surgery center of which he is a partner. Dr. Evan Merrill and his office: A) See you on schedule, B) He speaks to you clearly about your condition. C) knows feet (he even began running marathons later in life). I highly recommend him.

I find that Dr. Evan Merrill and his staff are cheerful and dedicated to their profession. Upon an initial exam, he outlined my prognosis and choices for treatment. And now, a couple months later, I enjoy relief from a chronic foot pain that began three years ago. Long walks are, again, available for my daily enjoyment. I should note that Dr. Merrill wasn't my first Podiatrist, but, if permitting, he is now my only choice.

Went for a problem on my big toe; pain, ingrown nail, possible infection. Waited over 30min; when I went in, he was in a hurry. Refused to look at painful side of the toe ; He trimmed off the end of toenail; found fungal infection; started to use the "sander" tool to thin nail. Whizzed around quickly and nicked my skin. It bled; he never finished; put on ointment & bandaid. The fungal infection spread into the cut, hit me head to toe on skin. Still have toe pain. NEVER go there again.

I had broken a toe that needed surgery. Dr Merrill was able to get me into his office the next day, while another surgeon was a week out. My experience with Dr Merrill and his staff was excellent! I highly recommend the Southern Oregon Foor and Ankle to all who have foot or ankle issues!
