Dr. Evan Guthrie, MD

Terrible!,,,,,, talks to his computer instead of me during my visit . Wrote subjective comments on my Jefferson chart.

After being with this practice most of my life, I had to switch once "Dr." Guthrie was employed. Very pompous, very arrogant, and ruled out a condition without testing. I would not go back to him or recommend him to anyone.

I am a patient of the clinic that employs Dr Guthrie and have had to speak to the physician on call quite a few times over the past 7 years. I’ve always been satisfied. Until now. I’m 57 years old I’ve never ever met a physician that’s was as rude and callous as Dr. Guthrie in my whole life. Dr. Guthrie returned my call after being notified by the switchboard operator. And he immediately took on an attitude and told me that he was putting his feet up and relaxing and made me feel as if I were invading his privacy simply by asking the operator to put me in touch with whichever physician was on call, which in this case happened to be Dr. Guthrie. Despite my severe pain he refused to renew a prescription of a non-narcotic medication that his own clinic had prescribed earlier this year. As I set flabbergasted with my mouth wide open, he quite cruelly told me to enjoy the rest of my day and hung up. Strongly recommend against using this physicians unprofessional & questionable services.

This practice has a very high turnover for doctors, perhaps that is why they dont have all the doctors listed here. Especially, Dr Evan Guthrie, he has a total God complex, tried to write me a Rx for antibiotics that I am allergic to. Told me not to question him and hung up....this is not the 1st time he has mistreated my family. He has told my college age daughter not over react to her symptoms..."It's not like you are going to die" This practice was bought by Jefferson and the care has gone downhill for some time. They are the prime example of doctors just in it for the all mighty dollar.

Will be changing practices. Doesn't care enough to do follow-up on request to prescribe medication that was already being prescribed for nearly 2 years but because of insurance change can no longer see that doctor - even after paying $40 copay to present for visit. Willing to put patient at risk.
