Urgent Care sent me to Evan Fischer MD. He refused to treat me saying Urgent Care should have surgically removed my nail. He told me to go to the emergency room (ER) to have my finger nail surgically removed. The ER sent me to another hand specialist who treated me. I should not have had to go to ER after already going to less expensive urgent care and I should not have had to see two hand specialists in one day. Not including the cost of urgent care and the hand specialist that treated me , going to Dr Fischer and his sending me to the ER added nearly $3,000 to my medical costs that day.

Wonderful Doctor
Dr. Fischer is one of the nicest doctors I've ever the pleasure of visiting. I've seen him twice in a little of three years for trigger finger. He explains the treatment and what is required afterwards. He was gentle and calming for the injection. I highly recommend Dr. Evan Fischer.

This Doctor is Brilliant and does amazing work
Several years ago I sliced my hand and severed two nerves while trying to get an avocado pit. ER stitched it and never told me to see a Doctor. The school nurse looked at it and said go immediately to a hand surgeon. I selected Dr Fischer randomly and it was the smartest thing to do because he is Brilliant and my hand has healed wonderfully. : )

Great Dr goes beyond!!!!
Dr Fischer has always show me respect, always had time to answer my questions. Discovered a spinal issue and referred e to a specialist. If left untreated I could have been paralyzed. I am so grateful.

I went to see Dr. Fischer and I regret it. I will not go back for a follow up visit. He was abrupt (bordering on rude) and while it was okay for him to cut me off while speaking he told me not to cut him off. He would not allow me to express all of symptoms. This guy needs a course on proper bedside manner & to understand that patients are people too. If you are looking for a doctor who has compassion & consideration - Dr. Evan Fisher is not the doctor you are looking for. I only give him a star because the system requires stars but based on my experience - I give him NO STARS!

Dr. Fischer was to-the-point, completely professional, thorough, and had answers to all my questions. I have had a lot of experience with doctors in my 65 years, and wish more of them were this competent and clear. He is also quite kind.

I saw Dr. Fischer once, and will never go back. I was in a lot of pain, and he actually told me not to be a baby when I told him that the area he was pushing on hurt quite a bit. The”exam” lasted less than five minutes, and he acted as though I was bothering him when I had questions. He gave me minimal information, and he clearly would rather have been somewhere else. Very grouchy persona, he never smiled or acted kind in any way whatsoever.

I had gone to Dr Fischer about 2 years ago, I found him to be direct and knowledgeable. I'm an aging musician, my hands are important in that way to me, he was very attentive to that. I highly recommend him, I very much appreciated him wanting to get down to it and get to my finger's next needs fast...therefore getting me in and out fast :0) - He helped me decide what to do and was clear, asked me if I had any questions, I didn't. My finger is fine -

He’s super skilled and I found his bedside manner direct but comforting. He did laparoscopic cubital tunnel release surgery on my elbow at the short hills surgery center, which was an excellent place to have surgery if you need it. It all worked out and I am grateful to him for taking such good care of my hand!

I have had two wonderful visits with this doctor, on two different occasions, for two different issues. He gave me all the time I needed to understand my diagnosis. He was friendly and I thought genuinely cared. I really liked him and can easily recommend him.

This morning I went with my husband for a consultation with Dr. Fischer. My husband has been a patient of Dr. Fischer's for a number of years and he was always happy with not only the Dr., but the outcomes of his treatments. This visit was with an eye towards next steps and surgical solutions as my husband no longer has any cartiledge in his right wrist, is quite arthritic, and in a good deal of pain. From the moment Dr. Fischer walked in the office, he was engaged, completely focused on and clearly up to date on my husbands condition, and in the next 20 minutes or so clearly explained and discussed with us what options (the upsides and potential downsides) available to deal with my husbands condition and now ever intense chronic pain. I left the office feeling 100% assured that my husband was fortunate to have Dr. Fischer as his practitioner, and that we are now in a position to make a fully informed decision about next steps.

I would NOT recommend Dr Fischer. Very condescending. Poor listener. He does not care about your pain. His main interest is to get rid of you ASAP.

My 7 yo son had a painful elbow after breaking a fall with his outstretched hand. During the exam, Dr. Fischer never took the full history and hasn't fully examined the elbow before processing to do an X-ray. He didn't see any signs of the fracture on the X-ray but said that he thinks there is a nondisplaced fracture at the ulnar head, and that the arm needs to be immobilized. Then he rushed into doing a splint. Dr. Fischer misdiagnosed, overtreated and overcharged us for a simple bruised elbow

I had an appt on 12/22/16 for a Percuntaneous trigger finger surgery. I asked his success rate was.He said 99% I was the 1% He also failed to explain that if the surgery didn't work that my finger would be significantly worse than when I first came in, which it is. I was away for the winter and he was on vacation till Jan 4. I called to say I was in pain and the finger was very tender. The office called to give me instructions and he would follow up. I called 3 more times and never heard from him
