Best Cardiologist Ever
Dr. Caruso discovered a blocked artery in the back of my heart. He prescribed medication that has lowered my life long hypertension into the safe zone and way below stroke territory. He has very good bedside manner and genuinely cares. He listens and provides feedback. He saved my life. I'm 71 and Ive been around doctors and hospitals more than my share.

Dr. Caruso and his office do not communicate or return calls. The office never picks up a phone call and badgers you not to call more than once because it will 'further delay' their response. What is that??? They do not call you back for anything. Asked to speak to my Dr. about concerns I have in a report that he read; I was told he 'doesnt' call patients.' Leaving this practice and finding another cardiologist.

He doesn't inform his patients
Had a TEE today, as requested by a PA at his office. Dr. Caruso did the procedure and promptly left. No communication with my wife who was waiting in the waiting room, nor did he talk to the patient about results. Every other physician doing procedures came to the waiting room and talked to waiting family. NOT Dr. Caruso. It was a Friday, and he swiftly disappeared. Tried to call his office and got nowhere in reaching him. The purpose was for a heart clearance for a spine surgery only 5 days away. Changing cardiologist for sure. Done with Caruso.

Accurate, personable and careful leaving “no stone
Our hip surgeon sent us to Dr. Caruso for a work up to have a hip replacement when he found he needed quadruple heart surgery. If it wasn’t for his careful examination and tests my husband might not be here!
