Dr. Chong has removed my husband’s cataract’s and also one of mine. She is very knowledgeable and caring. Answers all questions. We were referred to her by others and truly feel she is definitely one of the best. We have now referred others to her as well. Absolutely LOVE her!! Both my husband and I worked as Healthcare administrators prior to retirement and honestly feel blessed to have found someone as wonderful as Dr. Chong.

Dr. Chong fielded all of my questions and took her time and never rushed me out of the office. I am completely satisfied with the quality of ophthalmic care she provides.

The experience of the Doctor

I would not trust my eyes to anyone else. I was so nervous, she had a staff member hold my hand during the procedure. She called me the evening after each procedure to ask how I was doing. Dr. Chong is professional, personable, explains things in detail, and never rushes our visits. She cares about her patients.

I had both of my eyes operated on by Dr. CHUNG for cataracts and was very satisfied with everything about this doctor. Everyone appreciates her calm and professional manner when you are in her care. Her office is run the same way. I thought she had moved but it looks like she is still in Sun City West. I would use her for any eye surgery. She is a skillful surgeon.

Had cataract surgery on right eye in Aug 2020 and left eye in Dec 2020. Right eye is now 20/20 and left eye is 20/15. I was wearing glasses for nearsightedness. Now only need glasses for reading; I'm 74, so no surprise there. Visits and surgery were very good. Her staff is also very good. Very happy with result. Explanations of the surgery and the choices available were well explained.

Dr. Eva Marie Chong is the nearest to perfection eye doctor I have ever encountered. I have worn eyeglasses since 1966. Dr. Chong was the first doctor to diagnose that my right eye was higher than my left eye. This will improve my vision in my new bifocals. Dr. Chong also treated me with respect and kindness. She devoted an ample amount of time in answering and explaining all my questions. Dr. Chong's perspicacious nature gave me the impression that I could trust all her decisions with great confidence. Similarly, her staff was well trained and very respectful of me. In summary, Dr. Chong is a superb doctor who enjoys her profession and the time spent with her patients. It would not surprise me if someday Dr. Chong invents eyeglasses that make human vision comparable to that of an eagle.

Dr. Chong and her wonderful staff made what could have been an unnerving and scary time for me very calm and peaceful. I met with Dr. Chong two times prior to my scheduled cataract surgery. The surgery was preformed at the Desert Ridge Outpatient Surgery Center on Tatum Blvd. My care there was outstanding. I only have the use of the eye which had the cataract. After my surgery was over I had no pain or discomfort. I was able to see much better within hours of my surgery. I'm so thankful!

This physician has the best knowledge and attitude as well as her office staff is a pleasure to deal with!!! They’re doing business and practicing medicine the old-fashioned way, with honesty and integrity. She is following me status post bilateral iridotomies of which I had the laser surgery for 5 years ago. Just as a point of reference, I ha d 20+ years in the medical field, managing multipractice physician offices...and this is how it’s supposed to be. They’re all stars in my eyes!!! ??

I made an appointment with Dr. Chong for a second opinion and only after arriving did I understand that the issues that I was having with my eyes were issues that Dr Chong normally referred to another specialist. Even though Dr. Chong would normally refer me out, she took the time to examine my eyes and gave explanations to me for further treatment and helped me understand the problem. I would definitely refer family and friends to Dr. Chong.

Dr. Chong is wonderful! She is well trained, experienced, kind, helpful, and her staff reflects her! Dr. Chong has offices convenient to Valley residents. Patients are seen on time and with compassion. Dr. Chong took as much time as needed talking with me so I would understand my diagnosis. I am thankful Dr. Chong is my ophthalmologist!

Dr. Chong is competent, takes time to fully respond to patient questions, responds to urgent requests.

Dr. Chong is friendly, efficient, intelligent with a great bed-side manner. She takes the time to answer questions and discuss her recommendations. Her staff is friendly and competent. I have been examined by many Ophthalmologists over the years but never found one more pleasant than Dr. Chong. I highly recommend her to anybody needing Eye Exams or surgery.

I have been seeing Dr. Chong regularly for several years for my chronic eye issues. She is very professional & has great depth of knowledge. She is clearly brilliant, very passionate about her work, amazingly friendly & personable, enormously informative, enjoyable to talk to, & solves your medical problems with proper care & attentiveness. She recently performed cataract surgery on me & my vision has become so good that I don?t wear eyeglasses anymore to watch TV!! The office has a great vibe.
