Caring and compassionate.
Dr. Amagashie takes the time to explain everything to you. And he makes it all make sense. Heart issues are serious but Dr. Amagashie takes the time to make sure you understand your situation. Outstanding doctor and staff
I have been a patient for over ten years and have always been welcomed, cared for in a timely manner and treated with respect. My heart problems and future care have been explained in detail. The staff is extremely responsive, understanding and empathetic, and response time is excellent.I am beyond fortunate to have Dr. Amegashie and his staff in my life (which has been saved more than once).Appreciation, thankfulness and indebtedness are inadequate expressions of how I feel but they will have to do.

Made me wait 40 days to see him! Had 85% blockage!
Making me wait because I cancelled an appt in March 2020! Hopkins referred me and he wouldn't see me for 40 days! I was on the verge of a heart attack! He's by far the worst Dr in Western MD!! I will tell him myself first thing tomorrow!

I won't return
I had an awful visit with this doctor. It was my second time seeing him and I can only say he was rude and patronizing. I almost pursued the matter however I chalked it up to everyone having a bad day and found a new doctor. He refused to order a basic test that my heart surgeon recomended that I have done a year after my open heart surgery. He then said I was just doing it for my piece of mind and would want to do it every 3 months, after I explained to him I did't like coming to doctor's offices nor did I like having tests done he ordered me out of his office and told his scheduler to schedue the test but I would probably have to pay for it myself, meaning he would file it as frivolous with my insurance company. I had the test done 3 weeks later with my new doctor and am happy to not go back.

Dr. Amegashie is excellent at figuring out if you have a problem with your heart and what it is. He barely gave me time to ask any questions, however, and I had to pin him down just to get the name of my diagnosis. I left feeling frustrated and confused.
