Dr. Erika Wasenda, MD

Dr. Wasenda built my trust by telling me every little thing she was doing during my exam, and then destroyed that trust by performing a procedure on me without telling me or getting my permission. When I confronted her about it, she seemed genuinely surprised that I had a problem with what she did, and gave me an apology that seemed insincere to me.

I find Dr.Wasenda, a highly professional and warm individual. I saw her once before, and made a point of finding her Once again,. I recommend her competency and compassion highly. Gladys J Nemirow

Acted like I was bothering her by booking an appointment with her. I have had pelvic issues for years and wanted to ensure there wasn’t prolapse or a fistula and she literally said “what made you make an appointment here” - I told her that the nurse took my info and said the doctor would be able to help. I also was extremely nervous for her to do an exam because I have lichen Sclerosus which causes vulva skin to tear very easily. I feel she rolled her eyes in annoyance at me that I was nervous for her to put the speculum in. If she dealt with maybe one day of my life and what I go through discomfort wise MAYBE she would have a bit of compassion. Must be nice to not have a clue what pelvic discomfort could feel like on a daily basis. Do yourself a favor and do not go to her ever.

She was warm and understanding of my condition. She explained all my options for treatment. She took her time with me and I did not feel rushed at all.

Do not go to this doctor. I have never been more taken aback by a doctor in my life. She is dismissive of your feelings. She doesn’t listen to her patients symptoms. I was having symptoms and she dismissed them while I ended up having an infection which she ignored. She is very business oriented and spends little time with you. She give you a diagnosis with no explanation of what it is or how to fix it. She examines you and does procedures with no explanation of anything she is doing. She made me feel completely uncomfortable.

Dr Wasenda made me feel very comfortable. She answered all my question and explained everything thoroughly. I’m glad I found her!

This was my first visit for a new problem. I was thrilled with her care. I immediately felt comfortable with her exams and explanations. I am a retired medical professional.

Hands down the best doctor I have ever been to! Her calm, warm, friendly, patience personality is a gift during trying times. I can't be more thankful for Dr. Wasenda and her staff. She diagnosed me with interstitial cystitis after having lingering UTI symptoms for several weeks. She perscribed me uribel, gave me a sheet of paper of what food to eat and told me on the bright side some women have no symptoms with pregnancy. If you are not familiar with interstitial cystitis, there is no cure, patients have a pretty high depression/ suicide rate and it is a last case scenario to diagnose someone with this. I ended up going to a diff. uro-gyno who opening ran blood tests and genetic testing to try and cover all bases. After everything came back clear, she suggested I try pelvic floor physical therapy and long behold after only 1 month of treatment, the spasms got better, I was not peeing as frequently and the incredible burning sensation was dying down after urination. After 7 months I was discharged and have not had any problems for over 6 months.
