I saw Dr. Sowell because my primary physician was booked the whole day. He came in asked me what was wrong, told him and told me what to do. Loved it!!

Very pleased
My PCP is on maternity leave and Dr. Sowell was gracious enough to see me on very short notice for a pre-procedural clearance. He was very pleasant and reassuring quelling some concerns I had about my bloodwork. He was easy to speak with and informative. Highly recommend.

I saw Dr. Sowell for the first time on October 2024. Dr. Sowell was prompt, kind, courteous & thorough. The X-ray he ordered did reveal a fractured foot & before I left the building he contacted me with the results AND not only referred me to an orthopedic doctor but also set up an appointment the same day for me to see her! What a blessing. Dr. Sowell is a good, caring doctor who I highly recommend!

I visited Dr. Sowell today when my appointment with my primary doctor was canceled. He made me feel comfortable discussing my health issues. He listened intently and patiently answered all my questions. Dr. Sowell and his nurses were amazing. I’m so grateful!

Not helpful, bordering on rude
Our regular doctor sent one one of two prescriptions in and we did not realize we were missing one until the day before an out-of-town trip. Dr. Sowell was the doctor on call and refused to return our call. Simply told the answering service this is not an emergency and it can wait till tomorrow. Since we had to leave at five in the morning, this was not possible. the answering service refused to call him back.

Not the best experience
He was very rushed throughout the appointment. I was a first-time patient. He tried to get me to use another local clinic in the area vs having a GP. It is beyond difficult to schedule time with him. In total, it felt impersonal and avoidant.

Terrible
I need an inhaler. Trying to get a refill for two days now. I was told he is in the office but busy and they can't prescribe it untill they speak with him but he is too busy to be interrupted so all they can do is just keep sending him messages (from within the office). Really??? Mind you, it's in my medical charts that I am asthamtic for years! In the meantime, I can't breathe! Terrible!
