If you want a thorough conscientious doctor .....
What stands out when I go to a doctor? The one thing that has happened to me over the years is not feeling heard. Dr. Russell stands out in this way. He never rushes you or makes you feel like he's the doctor and you should just listen to what he thinks about your symptoms, your body etc. He actually said to me last time " what can I help you with today?" That is what he wants to do, help and it's a wonderful way to treat people. I really appreciate him and his staff as well. It may take a while for him to come in your room, I've waited a long while.... but it's because he's not rushing people and unless he's a really good actor, he genuinely cares. I've had lots of doctors and he rates upon the highest and best!

Sets standard of Doctor excellence
I accompanied my grandson to visit Dr Russell, regarding his diabetes which he's had since he was a baby. He's now in his 20's and he also has downs syndrome. His mother's trying to teach him to manage his diabetes. He has a good understanding of his condition, but will aways need to have someone to help adjust sugars and check on him, in case his blood gets low. Our visit was evening, my daughter wrote a paper with questions. It always amazes me to see Dr's who truly care, they will explain so you can understand what and why. My grandson had alot of questions, I was amazed at Dr Russell taking time to explain things to him. Listening to those two talking, it was exciting because my grandsons points and questions were pretty intelligent. Talking with Dr Russell gave him the chance to have intellegent conversation about something that he needs to know, and think about. Dr Russell is extremely special and we are lucky to have him.

About Me

care philosophy

As a physician, I have the regrettable tendency to run behind nearly all the time. However, this is quite simply because I believe a doctor must be as thorough as is possible, and must spend as much time with each patient as is warranted by their...read more
