Unprofessional and Condescending
Dr. Modlo was extremely uninformed about the symptoms of perimenopause, which can often be confused for other conditions. His demeanor was so incredibly condescending and rude. I gave him feedback multiple times during our appointment that his interactions were unprofessional. He continued to be condescending, so I did something I've never done in my 46 years - I got up and walked out of the appointment. Women deserve a doctor who understands our biophysical and lifestyle challenges, and respects you enough to listen kindly.

Knowledgeable but not nice
Dr Modlo seems knowledgeable, orders appropriate tests, and reviews information. However, he is abrasive and at times condescending. I did not find him empathetic. His plan needed more explanation. He will respond on MyChart but responses are short. It is very difficult to schedule an appointment (probably more of a CCF issue).

Very unprofessional
Telehealth
There is something very wrong with him. He is very rude and unprofessional. He interrupted me several times and was very dismissive of what I was saying. He refused to my answer my questions about the lab orders and the other doctors he mentioned during my visit because he didn't like me standing up for myself. He has no business doing any job, much less being in a functional medicine department. If you need help, you won't get so don't waste your time or money. I will be reporting him.

Do not recommend
Terrible besides manor. He was very condescending and rude. He made an unprofessional and inappropriate comment about my job and I work for a Fortune 500 company. He downplayed my mental health diagnosis. Functional medicine is a service in my eyes and patients should be treated with compassion and respect regardless of level of care. Disappointing coming from the renowned Cleveland Clinic. I would not recommend to anyone.

Don't bother
When he came into the room he didn't know what I was there for. He said some things that made me very uncomfortable. I was uncomfortable being in the room with him. I went out to the receptionist where he followed and said some unprofessional things.

I have been seeing Dr. Modlo for about 3 years. I have tried to get use to his foul demeanor and just can't. He is condescending. He is sometimes rude. Not sure if it's because I am less than him as a woman or just not as good as he is. He does not hear what I say. He can treat an illness but he is not able not willing to help with my overall health.

Perhaps the worst doctor I've ever encountered, Dr. Modlo did not follow emergency room protocols, refused to aspirate my knee, making the excuse that it was operated on… 40 years ago… before kicking me out of his office when I dared question as to why he was lecturing me about calling his office to seek more expedited treatment of a knee injury than waiting for a week after being told that I had a possible ACL tear. No bedside manner, derelict in his duties as a physician, and a disgrace to his profession. The Cleveland Clinic is but a shell of what it once was. Years ago, it seems to me that this quack would never have made the cut. Today, with the CC swallowing up any health system it can, doctors like him not only get a pass, but are enabled in their mistreatment of patients. Soon, however, Mr. Modlo will be hearing from the State of Ohio Medical Board, so while I have little hope that they are anything more than a rubber stamp for this kind of behavior, at least there will be

Dr Modlo doesn’t listen and doesn’t know medicine very well. I have a complicated medical history - and the last time I saw him, he cut me off in mid sentence and said “I’m sorry, I can’t help you” and stood to walk out the door!
