In June 2024, I decided to get a colonoscopy. I'm 68, and never had one. Saw Dr. Alayo, and he scheduled one for the next month. I did all the necessary prep, diet-wise, for the 5 days prior, and had transport set up thru Comm Health Group the morning of the procedure. Just as they arrived, I called to say 'I'm on my way'. They said, 'who is with you', I said the driver, who'll be taking me there, and then taking me home. They said that I needed a friend or family member to be with me the entire time. I told them that my family is all deceased, and I don't associate with anybody. They told me don't bother coming. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It's more important that I have somebody with me, than having the procedure at all. So that was that. Then in Nov 2023, I noticed a bulge in my lower abdomen, and one above the belly button. My provider sent me to the same place. Why I went back, I'll never know. The same Dr. Alayo confirmed that I had 2 hernias. I said, let me guess, you

Extremely rude office staff
I went to his office on 3/12/2022 to pick up some written information about an up coming colonoscopy I was scheduled for. I went in the door and saw 5 women inside who obviously worked there and not one single one of them would acknowledge my presence. That's just the beginning of their absolute rudeness.

Horrific experience! They told me to arrive earlier than my appointment so I could leave early. Instead I waited 3 and a half hours. I had an endoscopy without sedation and that actually should not even be an option. I felt like I drowned. I thought I was going to die. Meanwhile, they took the biopsy and rolled me out of the room and sent me home. For one month after this endoscopy I had the most horrible stomach pain. I called the office and told them and they called back saying they prescribed some meds. I called three times after this to complain about my stomach still hurting and NOBODY called me back. I left messages. Finally someone answered and said I had an earlier appointment to speak with the doc about my results. Nobody ever called me and when I called them 30 mins later they yelled at me and asked why I never confirmed my appointment ( I did). I talked to Leslie and she was so rude and disrespectful it was disgusting. The NP also yelled at me for not confirming. Beware!!

Disappointed – Jul 06, 2021

I would NEVER recommend Dr Alayo! He was rude and didn’t even let me finish telling him my symptoms and shut me up to text someone and when he was finished, I tried to explain my concerns and symptoms and he wasn’t even listening to me and rushing me. Needless to say he was NO help! Rushed me out of the room while I was still talking and I was trying to explain to him my symptoms and left me talking and didn’t answer my questions! This is the second bad experience I’ve had with his office! I asked to see him because I had the same issue with the Nurse! This doctor does NOT care about the patient and is more focused on going to the next patient after only seeing you for less than 5 minutes!! Walked out crying because I couldn’t believe this was the second time I was being treated badly. He only cares about MONEY and that’s it! No COMPASSION and no EMPATHY. This doctor does NOT belong in the medical field! Shame on you Dr Alayo!! Will not be seeing you EVER!

Dr Alayos office personel is UNPROFESSIONAL !My father-in-law had a colonoscopy scheduled on April,30,2018, so he went on liquid diet to prep. We showed up to Scripps Hospital Chula Vista at 9:00am as his office had given us a map of the location for procedure. We were told it was Not the location of procedure. We were sent to Alfa Surgery Center for procedure. When we got there, we were told Appointment had been CANCELLED by Dr. Alayo's office and WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !

after the 3 sessions that i have done for rubber banding for my hemorrhoids, it is still the same thing. He should have known that is my case needed a surgery but he did not say so just because doctors now care about money rather than the patient's health. I'm really not satisfied with the experience and I do not recommend this doctor to anybody especially after paying over $700 for nothing

I have had 3 phone contacts with Elizabeth. She is very rude and difficult to understand. Makes me not even want to give the Dr. A chance. The difficult to understand I could get over if she was kind. But she is not.

Didn't even think I had uc even though I'd been diagnosed years prior twice. Wouldn't help manage pain or anything else for that matter. Horrible experience.
