I spent 30 minutes in an initial appointment, and I didn’t even get to see a doctor, I was seen by the nurse practitioner.. and it was the worst experience I’ve had in a doctors office in a while.. the front desk was nice as was the nurse that took my blood pressure.. but I made it very clear over the phone what I was there for, it was not respected and the entirety of my appointment I was lectured by the NP on what I should be doing… even though I’m perfectly healthy.. she was beyond rude, and really didn’t care what I had to say… I won’t be pushed or pressured into anything, especially on the first visit.. And I will definitely not be back.. terrible experience

Dr. Erica is great
However, her nurse practitioner has made me question having to go back. She is rude and doesn't even say hello, how are you-- when she barges through the door to see you......totally unprofessional. Because of her I doubt I will go back. Sad because I really like Dr. Erica Ruiz. If I could only see her I would continue my care there.

I never met Dr Ruiz but the nurse practitioner seems to pretend she is a doctor very rude and does not want to treat her patients she just wants to prescribe medications and she insist on flue vaccines even if we politely said no! I will never go there again!

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! She tries to make her clients get surgeries even though they're not needed and she doesnt give the right medications. It seems like shes just there for the money and not the health of her clients which is very sad because most people depend on doctors.

Very poor customer service. Just moved to the desert area, I was trying to make an appointment. I called 3 times, you can't talk to anybody so I left messages and never received a call back. Very disappointing!

I was hospitalized for a small stroke and saw Dr. Ruiz four days after I was discharged as she was my PCP. As she is holding my hospital records in front of me, she began to tell me I didn’t have a stroke that I had a migraine that mimicked a stroke. I explained my hospital experience, which included an MRI indicating I had a stroke. After reviewing more of my records she said, “0h, you did have a stroke.” I had paid higher premiums to have Dr. Ruiz as my PCP as she only accepts PPO insurance, but she refused to sign forms my employer requested allowing time off due to my medical condition. The worst experience from a PCP that I ever experienced!!!!!7

Worst care I have ever experienced from a Doctor. Her staff is unprofessional and caused me to have 2 medical procedures that were totally not needed if she would have reviewed my blood work in the couple of months before my scheduled procedures. No one looked at my results as the blood tests showed no issues that required 2 procedures that required me to be put to sleep. If you looking for a good caring Dr. in the valley, DON'T go to her.

The front desk staff are rude and unwelcoming while the dr herself is a heartless, uncaring robot that is obviously more interested in money than her patients whom she treats like burdens. I would highly recommend choosing a different healthcare provider.

Been going to. Dr. Ruiz for 10 years. She and her husband are both great people. We don't al ways agree, but she's patient and talks to you. So she works. With what I want at first, then we do it her way. I think she's great and only once in all these years have I had an issue with staff

Office staff is horrendous! It takes 5-6 calls to get anyone to call back. Getting a referral is next to impossible. Dr. Ruiz is wonderful and that's the only reason I keep coming back but I'm starting to reconsider this.
