I can honestly say I have never, in my entire life, had a doctor's appointment that made me cry with joy. That is until today. I have pretty significant medical anxiety so seeing a new provider is always a bit stressful and the reason for my visit today was also very stressful. When I got to the office it was clean, the front desk was very polite, it was everything you'd hope for and should be able to expect from a medical office.What I wasn't prepared for was how Dr.Patel was going to be as my doctor. She was absolutely incredible. She spent just shy of an hour with me and I'm pretty sure I was booked for a 15 minute appointment. She spent so much time with me, she listened to all of my concerns and not only did she listen to them she addressed every single one of them, even the ones that probably sounded stupid or irrational, but she didn't judge me for one second, she validated my feelings and she went above and beyond to explain everything and calm my nerves.
