Dr. Erica Lehman, MD

PLEASE never work with Erica Lehman in Los Angeles. She is clueless and all she wants to do is sell you $30K worth of ozone infusions and gives you attitude if you refuse. Against my own better judgment I scheduled a follow up consult call with her. I could tell she was being distracted by a zillion things and it was so noisy in the background I could not even hear her. She had no advice for me other than to have my tonsils removed. After the call i had to jump on another call for work and suddenly my phone started blowing up with calls and texts from her office how my credit card on file expired. I could not get off my work call and literally for 15 min her office staff member was calling and texting me incessantly and then started sending me emails demanding immediate payment. I am not joking she sent me 30 text messages and left 6 voicemails and sent 20 emails in a 15 minute period. PLEASE never ever work with this woman

When I 1st saw Dr. Lehman, I had been treating for severe late stage chronic Lyme and various complications for 3.5 YRS.Prior, I had finished the clinical hours and qualifications to enter Physicians Assisting school. I had seen most of the nation's top specialist (both Integrative and Western), frustrated on the lack of coordination and execution for treatment plans. Dr. Lehman was frank to let me know that in order to beat it, it would be a good and honest fight. I could tell from our first visit that she was compassionate, cared about her patient's progress, and truly dedicated to researching to then generate positive patient outcomes. After 10 mo's of intensive treatments, I slowly backed off treatment and felt better by the month. I am now 5 YRS in a CONSISTENT remission state, married, with 2 healthy babies- working back in the collegiate professional dance world & speaking at the University level on tick-borne illness. I will forever be grateful for Dr. Lehman's care!!!

Dr. Lehman helped me when all the other doctors I had seen said I needed more willpower or wasn't trying hard enough. She has helped me by balancing my hormones, and using supplements, and my energy is back to where it was before I got sick. Her office staff and nurse are some of the best. I am so thankful I was referred to her!

Dr. Lehman is the best possible care you can find for Lyme. I was extremely sick when I first saw her 6 months ago. I saw a few LLMDs but instantly took liking to Lehman’s vast knowledge and aggressive treatment plan. I truly believe she has given me my life back much faster than other doctors would have. She is a genius.

I’ve been working with Dr. Lehman since January 2021 and came to her at a very desperate point in my life. Lyme Disease + co infections, mold, parasites, and so much more had completely stolen my life from me. I’d already been fighting this battle for two years prior and had tried nearly everything we had access to and worked with many lyme literate doctors who simply saw my case as too complicated. I live on the east coast and she’s based in Los Angeles but she’s been amazing working with me long distance between my visits to work with her in person. She uses a combination of traditional & non-traditional treatments and really customizes a treatment plan for YOU and your needs, your body and based on your labs unlike many LLMDs who use a more cookie cutter approach. A year and a half of working with Dr. Lehman and I’m getting a second shot at life. Could not be more grateful to Dr. Lehman, Jose, Fernanda and her whole team for all they do. Would recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Lehman is a negligent and incompetent physician. I highly recommend entering a complaint against her practice to the State Medical Board as I plan on doing after my experience.

Dr Lehman is one of the most negligent incompetent practitioners I ever met. Her practice is dedicated to robbing desperate people blind. She is scatter brained and pretty much throws anything at her patients to see what will stick as opposed to mapping out a strategic plan. Her staff also guilt trips you if you decided to not fork over $30K for ozone treatments. Please find another practitioner if you have lyme or chronic infections. if you see her you are rolling the dice with your health

Dr Lehman truly saved my life after years upon years of suffering without answers. I can’t say enough good things about her as a doctor and a person. She really digs to find what the root cause is and leaves no stone unturned. When I initially came to her I was completely bed ridden and slowly wasting away with lyme, and under her guidance and protocol I am back in my life. She truly cares about helping her patients.

Dr. Lehman is by far the best doctor I have ever gone too. Since 2006 I've seen over 100 doctors that failed to know what was wrong with me. I've heard every excuse in the book from there's nothing wrong with you, to it's all in your head. When I saw Dr. Lehman on day one she clinical diagnosed me and began treatment, following up later with positive tests. I had to jump through all the loops with patient assistance programs and she assisted me through it all. Yes, many doctors and patients will voice their opinion and many don't even really know what they're saying because they simply don't understand it. Dr. Lehman is by far more knowledgeable than the majority of doctors in California and is part of the elite network of doctors who really care for their patients. There is no one treatment protocol for anybody, so if your on one that's not working, talk about it and work with Dr. Lehman on finding one that works. Don't give up in rage! Strong is when you run out of weak !!!

Im hoping that everyone considering Dr Lehman reads this review carefully. I came to Dr Lehman in Spring 2019 with a test from Igenex that suggested a Lyme co infection was in the picture. Without doing any further investigation to isolate which co infections I actually had, she started me on a stem cell treatment as the very first thing she did. Now having spoken to other Lyme docs around the country and specifically on East coast, this is highly controversial and very unproven. In fact, it was hard me to find any other docs who would vouch for this treatment and most said they've only seen poor results in Lyme patients. And... it costs $3500. Dr Lehman will tell you that's a steal. Immediately after my second treatment my nervous system went haywire. I ended up in the hospital with back to back PVCs. Dr Lehman denied it was stem cell and attributed to something moldy I ate for lunch, which is laughable at this point. In any case it has been months and my nervous system has still not

I am so grateful to Dr Lehman. She is 100% committed to her patients, and actually conciencious of costs and what is absolutely necessary, and what can wait. I have a great relationship with Jose, her nurse, because he is also a horse person, and he worked for my hematologist at Cedars. He explained how devastating Lyme is, & sad it is that people don’t have the opportunity or money for proper treatment. I lost my spleen in a horse accident w/immune issues and Dr Lehman is realistic but hopeful

I could not recommend Dr. Lehman more highly. Her intelligence and prestige are akin to that of Dr. House. She is clever, caring, accessible, and extremely, extremely bright. Unlike many other LLMD’s, Dr. Lehman works on strengthening every system in your body, which she explains is a crucial step in the healing process. Thanks to Dr. Lehman, I am ironically in better health now than I have ever been—even before all of this! I trust Dr. Lehman with my life, and you really should too!

My husband and I have been successfully treated by Dr. Lehman for over a year. She is a brilliant integrative physician. Our health and well-being have greatly benefitted from her expertise in diagnosing and treating tick-borne infections, as well as mold toxicity. I knew at the first appointment my instincts to seek out a LLMD considered to be an expert in the field (according to lymedisease.org) were correct. It was a relief to find a doctor who truly cares about her patients.

Dr. Lehman has shown nothing but kindness and compassion. She wholeheartedly assists my daughter in gaining her life back from this Lyme induced neurological black hole. Her and Jose, the nurse, strive to meet the daily demands of this ever-changing, unique to each, relentless disease. There is no one pill/protocol to solve this epidemic, LLMD's are sparse and CDC's 21-day guidelines prompt insurance claims to be denied.Bottom line is Dr. Lehman is an intellectual saint. I've been a patient of Dr. Lehman's for 2 years. Her and her nurse Jose are like family to me. I wouldn't be the healthy young person I am today without her. I suffered from undiagnosed Lyme Disease for 10 years, and after seeing her for 2, I am healthier than I've ever been. She is one of the smartest, most kind individuals I have ever met. Jose never stops making me laugh and can get an IV started anywhere. If you're sick with Lyme, wait to get in so you can begin your journey to health!

Avoid at all costs, especially if you have chronic Lyme. She has no idea how to treat it, she has no empathy or understanding for how it impacts patients, and she is more interested in collecting your payment than she is in helping you get better. Staff is outrageously disorganized, she forgets about medication allergies, and continuously rescheduled appointments at the last minute, leaving me without care for my chronic condition. Not worth the exorbitant price. Stay far, far away.

Dr. Lehman is excellent, she offers individualized care and attention. After seeing several doctors who were unable to address my Lyme disease, it is a great relief to be in the care of a dedicated, trained Integrative medicine and Lyme specialist.

Although Dr. Lehman seems knowledgeable but she is extremely disorganized with terrible staff that keeps changing and knows nothing about this profession. She is extremely expensive with each sessio costing about $600. She is there to sell you supplements which did nothing in my case. She had the result of my test for several weeks and never called me. I do not recommend this doctor.

Dr Lehman is the best! We are so lucky to have been recommended to her after seeing countless doctors over the course of 5-7 years. Finally we have an advocate for our health and well-being. She has an excellent bed-side manner and has literally saved our lives. She works diligently to discover the possible cause/s for our disease and co-infections. We trust her to find solutions that are customized to each of our particular situations. We love Dr Lehman. She has a new assistant who is great!
