Extremely helpful and professional
Over the holidays I broke my ankle, that would require surgery. Dr. Puttler was recommended and he was willing to take me as a patient at a time where it was difficult to find an appointment. His professional manner and demeanor were exceptional. He was willing to answer any of my questions and the surgery was successful . The support staff were all very professional and I felt they took great pride in the care they provide to their patients. I would happily recommend Dr. Puttler and his staff without hesitation.

Amazing
I had hip replacement 7 weeks ago. The whole process from start to finish was amazing. Everything , including pt was all scheduled in advance. I knew exactly what to expect and what not to do. Dr Puttler said I would be happy after surgery and I am more than happy with the whole experience. Thank you

I've recommended Dr. Puttler multiple times
For over a decade I struggled with increasing hip pain and immobility. I was eating pain killers and anti-inflammatories like candy and was unable to walk to the mailbox and back. June 6th Dr Puttler performed an anterior full hip replacement. Following Dr. Puttler’s medicine regime, there was much less pain than I expected the first few days after surgery and I was able to walk with a walker without pain. I did not need the walker ten days after surgery and within a week I didn’t need a cane. PT went well and I was released from PT by the end of August. I realized mid-September that I had forgotten about all the issues I had experienced with my hip and everything felt completely normal. I am so grateful for Dr. Puttler’s skill and heart.

Excellent all around
I came in for a bicep repair and Dr. Puttler was amazing. He had frank, clear, and compassionate advice. He and his staff arranged my surgery very quickly and worked with my insurance to make sure that everything was in order. My Physical Therapist commented on the effectiveness of the surgery and how the way it was done was enabling me to advance through recovery much faster than other repairs they had seen.

Great Experience
I had a total Hip replacement, Dr. Puttler did everything within his power to make sure I was ready for the surgery to include if it was the right time and what would be the affects if I didn't have the replacement, he put my mind at ease. I was walking 10 mins after my surgery with a walker, I am younger than most who get hip replacement, I had no pain from the surgery, and have pretty much fully recovered after 6 weeks. My experience with Dr, Puttler and his staff was great, and now I can do more with no more pain.

Hip Replacement
Dr. Puttler answered all my questions regarding hip replacement and explained the process. My surgery went without any complications at the Surgical Center that's on-site and recovery went smoothly (I was in at 6:00a and out at 12:00p). His team at Rainier Orthopedic Institute were professional and kind.

Doctor Puttler has performed 4 very successful surgeries on me. My new hips are pain free. His attention to perfection is one of the reasons I feel so secure in his care. His compassionate and bedside manor are also a plus including his staff. Doctor Puttler always has time for explanations, questions and suggestions. I highly recommend him.

What a caring professional. I have complete confidence that Dr. Puttler performed the surgery as well as it can be done. The entire clinic deserves kudos.I had my anterior total hip replacement on a Wednesday, my first therapy session at Puyallup Physical Therapy that Friday, and was off my walker 4 days following surgery and use of a cane by the 6th day (Tuesday). Also on the 6th day, I returned to the gym for an upper body workout, and then again Wednesday (1 week, mind you, after total hip replacement) for my first leg workout. I performed V-squats with 100 lbs, adduction and abduction machines with 100 lbs, leg curls and leg extensions with 45 lbs. In my 4th week following surgery, I was up to V squats with 360 lbs, and the other machines proportionately heavier. Puyallup Physical Therapy cut me loose at that time indicating that they could no longer justify charging my insurance to provide therapy I apparently outgrew.

My Name is Sandra W. I cannot recommend Dr. Eric Puttler, MD enough! After breaking my ankle after passing out in the shower, I was understandably anxious about the surgery and recovery process, but from the moment I met Dr.Puttler in the Emergency Room at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, I felt at ease. They took the time to explain every step of the procedure to me in a way that was easy to understand, and their bedside manner was fantastic. The surgery itself was a great success, I had one long plate on the inner side of the ankle and a couple of screws placed in the outside of the ankle, and the recovery process went much smoother than I anticipated. Dr.Puttler checked in on me regularly and made themselves available to answer any questions I had throughout the 6 months healing process.
