Dr. Monesmith actually took the time to contact me after hours to answer questions, and provide additional possibilities for addressing my health concerns. I really admire that characteristic. It’s so refreshing these days, considering that in my recent experience, medical professionals don’t seem to care as much as they use too. God bless him!

Over an hour to wait for supposedly in expert in his field…NOT. He doctors only from sight. Doesn’t listen, just assumes, and if it’s to blantenly obvious, he doesn’t know what to do. X-ray looks good, he says. So you shouldn’t be in pain! It’s very sad how our medical physicians are treating their patients these days. He definitely needs to stick with the elementary surgeries.

I think of Dr Monesmith and Kim together as a great team. I waited too long to have my left knee replaced several years ago. I started have pain in my right knee and thought I knew what to expect. Dr Monesmith told me that things had gotten better with TKR but I was skeptical. Dr Monesmith did a terrific job and I was up and walking around fine a lot sooner than before. I would recommend Dr Monesmith and Orthoindy south.

Right from the start I felt very comfortable with Dr. Monesmith. He spent enough time to discuss all my concerns and answer all my questions. He seems extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of medicine and I am confident in his ability to do my knee surgery!

He was very friendly and showed me on my X-ray what some of my problems are. He was very professional and the staff was very tentative to my needs.

Dr. Monesmith was friendly, caring, and provided great information in terms that were easy to understand. His suggestions for treatment made a lot of sense.

Only waited approximately 5 minutes. I left feeling as though someone actually listened to me! All questions and concerns were addressed, professionally, and with courtesy and respect! I have high regard for Dr. Monesmith and his awesome staff!

Dr. Monesmith did a great job on the full replacement of my left knee. He was recommend to me by my sister who he had done a full knee replacement for in her early 50's. She spoke very highly of him. As young as I am, I had a number of questions about the longevity of the replacement. He answered all my questions and was very helpful with tips on how to stay active to maintain the integrity of the replacement. I always felt I was in good hands. I would recommend him to everyone.

From my first visit to my last visit Dr Monesmith and all the staff at Orth Indy made my at home and assured me that my hip surgery would go just fine. After surgery all my pain was gone and during recovery there wasn't any pain. i feel like a new man and feels like i got my youth back. I can not think them enough for getting me back to normal and my life is 100 % better. They are the best.

Monesmith was not helpful. He was in a hurry; didn't take time to listen carefully or answer my questions. His behavior was arrogant and condescending. I would not recommend him, particularly for older patients.

Dr. Monesmith replaced my knee in September 2019. Everything went well but 6 months later I fell and ruptured my patellar tendon in the same knee. Fortunately, Dr. Monesmith was able to put my knee back together and today I am able to walk and walk without pain. I am very grateful for the work he and his staff performed. I was fully informed (or my wife while I was unable to discuss things immediately after surgery) by Dr. Monesmith. I fully recommend him as a surgeon to repair your knees.

Dr. Monesmith performed a total hip replacement on me last year. I had “end stage osteoarthritis” which was bone on bone in my hip joint. I went from being barely able to walk unassisted at age 64 from my car to my front door to now walking 5 miles at a time pain free. The surgery went extremely well and I went home the next day. I required NO physical therapy afterwards. Since my surgery I went on a river cruise in Europe, navigated all the airports walking on my own, and participated in walking tours of the villages at each stop on the cruise. For me, this has been nothing short of a miracle. After several years of being unable to sleep well at night due to the constant pain, I can now rest again. Dr. Monesmith is a highly skilled surgeon that has truly given me my life back.

I have recently had 2 Total Hip Replacement surgeries this year and fully regret waiting so long to make my appointment. Dr. Monesmith took a lot of time answering all my questions and even asked me questions at times which helped me to get a better understanding. My first surgery went so well that it removed any apprehensions I had before having the second hip done and was looking forward to getting it done and behind me. I would highly recommend and I have already even recommended Dr. Monosmith along with Ortho Indy Hosp. to several people I know who need hip/knee surgery. I have also had so many friends that seen my situation prior and they have all been in awe at the progress they too have seen since my surgeries. The care I received at Ortho Indy was very good and I made so many new friends at the same time. Not all surgeries have to bring bad experiences with them.

I would recommend Dr. Monesmith & OrthoIndy to anyone. They are very helpful, knowledgeable, caring and considerate.

Had to have both knees replaced due to OsteoArthritis. I was in pain, walking bone on bone. Had BOTH knees done at the same time and couldn't have made a better decision. Dr. Monesmith explained everything that would happen and that the recovery would be 3 months, (doing one knee or both). Just do the exercises! Was back to work in 3 months. I recommend Dr. Monesmith and his staff at OrthoIndy to everyone.

During both my appointments with Dr. Monesmith, he was very thorough and spent time answering questions for both my husband and I. We appreciated his honesty and down to earth attitude, and felt he truly cared about our concerns.

Very dismissive. Doesn't listen to you at all. Doesn't seem to care about you at all. Wants to get in and out as fast as he can. Directs you to his website and little else.

Dr.Monesmith was dismissive of my concerns. Told me to come back when I was ready for surgery. Handed me a paper with his website on it. When I inquired about physical therapy, he told me to go to his website. This appointment was a total waste of time and money.
