Dr. Eric Kleinberg performed a Laminectomy on me back in March. He did a wonderful job on my back and relieved all of my pain associated with my back. I would highly recommend him and his team for future operations.

As I began to think about back surgery I was fearful. I was told over and over by many don't have back surgery it makes it worse. I have an incredible belief and trust in UCDavis. After meeting Dr. Klineberg I felt he was the doctor I wanted to perform my surgery. He explained in great detail the procedure and and what to expect before, during and the follow up. My surgery was an incredible success. I have been able to return to my former activities, giving thanks to Dr. Klineberg and UCDavis staff. He is so easy to talk to and answer all questions. I recommend Dr. Klineberg to anyone considering back surgery.

I had a synovial cyst at the L4-L5 level and an osteophyte at the L5-S1 level. I have spoken with friends that had similar surgeries and I am convince Dr. Klineberg's approach was the best, i.e., the least amount of invasive surgery to accomplish the goal. Frankly, if it weren't for the scar, I would not believe there were 6 screw, 2 rods, and a spacer in my back. The pain is gone and I am able to resume all my activities with a few prudent exceptions, e.g., no activities that would compromise the surgery like skiing black diamond runs. Dr. Klineberg is both an excellent surgeon and very likeable guy. His concern is what is in your best interest.

I had back surgery in 2015, I could barely walk, had scoliosis and sciatic back and leg pain. Dr. Kleinberg was wonderful. I couldn't have had a better doctor, even after moving to Arizona I return to see him for my checkups, just had my 5 year one and will return in 5 more for my next one. Hope and pray he is still there.

Life changing, amazing ........... 4/2018 lengthy Surgery and before and after treatment by Dr. Klineberg and his staff - outstanding, caring and thoughtful throughout; involving me throughly... 7-8 hr surgery to fuse 10 vertebrae (scoliosis) with titanium rods and screws. My crushing and disabling pain and uncoordinated movement and falling gone, No pain pill at all after a few weeks ....I can walk upright .. my life’s been saved ..... highest possible recommendation...

Dr. Klineberg fused my back October 2018. Before surgery I was in pain while walking or standing. After surgery, I can walk as far as I want and stand as long as I like. Dr. Klineberg’s bedside manner is great! He will take his time to explain everything to you. His staff members are knowledgeable and caring. Just wish I had done it sooner. I feel that he is an expert at what he does. Thank you Dr. Klineberg, I am very grateful.

I have had debillitating sciatic back pain for over 20 years. bay area doctors have treated the symptoms with cortisone shots and recommended continuing to do so. It never got get rid of the back pain. I went to uc davis with my mri and explained the problem. Dr. Klineberg and his staff fully explained what was happening with my back. for the first time in twenty years I had a clear understanding of the problem and solution. dr klineberg recommended treating the problem with a spinal fusion. I had surgery and was pain free immediately. Because this is not my first surgery, i can say the office staff, surgery staff and hospital staff were outstanding. maybe because it is a teaching hospital everyone involved is excited about medicine and my treatment and recovery. It definitely did not feel like I was part of mass production of medicine as in other office and hospital experiences. doctor klineberg and his staff did an outstanding job. I only wish I had come to uc davis 5

Dr. Klineberg is awesome! He took excellent care of our daughter and made the whole family feel at ease with the procedure (spinal fusion with autograft to correct severe scoliosis) and recovery. The whole team at Shriners Sacramento is excellent! Would definitely highly recommend Dr. Klineberg!

He is not just good...he is great. My wife had 7 hr. back surgery in Reno, NV two years ago and after a year her local DR. said he was done with her and left her on her own (would not see her anymore). She was walking bent over and in constant pain She found Dr. Klineberg and he operated on her aprox. 8 mos. ago and the difference is amazing. She now walks upright and the pain level is decreasing. Thank you Dr. Klineberg.

I am a 70y/o Ironman Triathlon athlete who reached a point that I could not walk 50 yds. Dr. Klineberg and his team of dedicated Dr.s had me back biking, swimming and running in short order. Their skills and caring attitudes were beyond my expectations. Two years out and I am completely back to normal and looking at doing another Ironman. I can never thank them enough. I would excitedly recommend Dr. Klineberg and the UC Davis Spine Center without hesitation. Thank you, Dr. Klineberg.

I was referred to Dr. Klineberg because of severe leg pain caused by a pinched nerve and scoliosis. Walking for me was very painful, and I was bent over. I am now fused from T10 to the pelvis. Pain during the recovery was terrible, but it was worth it. Now I can walk for as long as I like with NO pain at all! Standing or sitting is not a problem either. If I had to make the decision again to have the surgery, I would do so. Dr. Klineberg is a fantastic doctor, and I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Klineberg did a MAJOR back surgery on my 81 year old mother. This was a risky surgery, but the pain she was in outweighed the risk. She is now 1-year postop and 1 inch taller. She had screws & rods from T9-pelvis; spinal fusion T9-pelvis; spinal decompression L1,2,3 & 4; cut/realign at T12/L1, L1/2, L2/3, L3/4; ligament reconstruction T7/8 & T8/9. She has NO PAIN anymore is doing great. My mom can't say THANK YOU enough to Dr. Klineberg and his team. I could go on and on. *****

Dr. Klineberg fused four of my spinal vertibrae two years ago when I was 66. Before the surgery, I was unable to stand for more than 5 minutes without looking for a chair to sit in. I couldn't walk 100 yards without having to squat and stretch. Following surgery, I was able to resume golf (in about 6 months) and can stand, walk or hike for a long as I like. I truly believe I can LIVE the rest of my life, thanks to the outstanding job that Dr. Klineberg did on me.

Dr. Klineberg is an extremely caring and competent spinal surgeon. I would without a doubt and with no hesitation refer him to my closest friends and family members. At age 82 and due to severe scoliosis, I had an extremely complex multi-level spinal fusion and Dr. Klineberg was there for me at every turn. He and his team are extremely knowledgeable and experienced and the hospital staff was as well. Dr. Klineberg treated me with dignity and respect throughout the process.

Dr. Klineberg performed surgery on 5 vertebrae in my neck, relieving nearly unbearable symptoms that had incapacitated me for 1 1/2 years. Dr. Klineberg's expertise and caring manner gave me confidence in the outcome and I was not at all afraid to have the surgery. His team, part of the UC Davis Medical School and Spine Center, were excellent in every way, as was my stay at the hospital (except for the food!). When I had post-surgical complications and emergency care, his team were on board.
