Fined for not notifying missed appointments after
My wife and I were fined for not meeting 24 hour notification of missed appointments due after I was hospitalized for a head injury. We have used Dr gessner for 20 years but no more. I wish I could fine him for the times I had to wait long times after my appointment times. I have recommended him to many friends over the years which I now regret.

Terrible treatment, terrible service
My son went there for an ingrown toenail and despite being treated twice for the same toenail, it came back a third time. We’re not giving him a third chance. To make matters worse, the office bungled the insurance billing and we were stuck with a $1000 bill!!

Ripping off insurance company and patients.
I'm so thankful to have had a second opinion that I can trust, especially after reading his reviews. I had my appointment with Dr Guessner in December. He said I needed my bone fused which I do but he did not address my other pain. He never even looked at my feet. He was in a hurry that day and maybe spent 12-13 minutes with me. When I got the bill he charged me 350.00 for a 60-75 minute visit. Plus the x-rays. He is not trustworthy or honest.

Dr. Gessner is an extremely kind, friendly, and intelligent doctor. He really helped me through this difficult time and recovery process, especially with his humor and personality, which definitely lifted the horribleness of having a broken foot that needed 6 screws and 1 plate. He explained my x-rays well to me and adjusted my treatment plan accordingly. The business as a whole was pretty good with communication and getting appts. set up when I really needed help, but did find many staff members to be quite rude and stand-offish. Overall I was cared for and it was a good experience, well, the best one can get having a broken foot and surgery!

Incredible attentiveness and called me at home! Our dog accidentally bit me while we were playing in the yard. It was deep and infected bite and I was really worried about it and in excruciating pain. I could not find anyone to see me same day so I called this office and they fit me right in. Dr. Gessner was very thorough, cleaned the wound and made sure I had pain pills and a boot to wear while I was healing. Here's the amazing thing: He called me at home over the weekend to see how I was doing! I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. Would return again if I had the need.

I would not recommend Dr. Gessner to anyone. It's been 8yrs since my initial experience with this "doctor", and I've have dealt with a ton of complications from his initial surgeries over the last 8yrs. Surgery in left foot resulted in massive infection and 6wks of IV antibiotic injections. Due to the infection, I was convinced by this "doctor" that my right big toe was the cause, and it would need to be removed. Biopsy indicated no bone infection in the toe, so it did not need to be removed.

Would never recommend... After 2 surgeries in 6 months on the same ankle I went to a new doctor. Gessner told me both ankle tendons were damaged. Brevis on 1st surgery and longus on 2nd surgery. MRI said it was the brevis on both. I went to a second Doctor that had to cut out all the junk Gessner put in on the brevis tendon. Nothing was wrong with the Longus. But Gessner's surgical reports say different. He is trying to cover some tracks without knowing another doctor might look at the ankle.

I got in to see the Dr in less than a week. I was able to have my needed surgery the very next day. dr Gessner explains and listens in a very caring manner. I have had uneventful follow up visits and would, absolutely, recommend him.

I went to a long period of time without insurance. I am a senior and when I did get insurance many providers would not treat older patients with medicare supplemental etc. and the micro managing of my care really limited my access. Dr. Gessner has been fair with me, he has got me moving again and is giving me the care I need which has resulted in me getting more active again. I have problems with neuropothy and anthritis in my feet. His staff are always very helpful and positive.

Dr Gessner nor staff advised me I would need a follow up visit to my procedure. I was given a patient handout with two items underlined. No follow up was suggested. When trying to inquire about an issue I was sternly told I should have scheduled the follow up visit. This was new info as it was not on the hand out. The address on the hand is wrong. Dr. Gessner was fine but his support front desk is indifferent to rude. The poorest front office experience I have ever had and I am 7

Dr. Gessner was great! He was professional but at the same time spoke to my 4 year old in a way that she understood what was going on. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I was so grateful that his staff immediately verified my insurance information to ensure I was accepted there and got me an appointment needed the very same morning. Dr. Gessner's professionalism along with his staff was impressive. Personally, I was happy he was a former runner and knows the positive effects of running and the value it brings to life so I didn't have to hear 'stop running'. Instead, he listened very attentively and tended to my specific needs. So very grateful!
