HORRIBLE DOCTOR WITH NO EMPATHY!!!
In Dec 2024, Clearway scheduled me with Dr. Finkelstein because my Dr didn’t have any avail appts. which I later found out to be untrue. My 1st visit was for a Nerve Block which I've had with no issues. It was very painful & he complained that I had to be still, but who can sit still while in pain. 2 wks later on my 2nd shot series when he injected the needle it felt like he hit a nerve which caused me to almost jump off the table. He didn’t say nothing other than “I’m done!” And he left out. I’ve been in the worst excruciating pain ever since that 2nd shot. The pain starts at my waist & hip and generates down the back of my leg to the back of the knee leaving a cramp in the back of the knee & calf than down to my ankle. Before seeing him I walked by myself now I’m confined to a cane or walker depending on the pain. When I followed up with him he talked with his eyes closed and said the pain should last 4-6 wks and it’s been over 2 months. I DON’T RECOMMEND DR FINKELSTEIN AT ALL!

Dr Finkelstein is indiffirent and unfeeling. My staples from a spinal implant were left in too long and had to be cut out by surgeons at the Hopkins Bayview Hospital. You cannot reach his office but must use the Clearway operators who will take the message, no discussion allowed.

Maybe it's Just Me
I spent more time in the waiting room than I did with him. He talked to for about 5 minutes the first appointment, and 15 seconds the second appt. I was so flabbergasted that I cried when I left. I've been to many doctors and they all bothered to spend at least 10 minutes with me, even the ones I didn't really like. Yet they are comfortable charging $600/session. I don't feel listened to and won't be returning. I am confused by all of the positive reviews, and they make me think that maybe he didn't believe me, or was in a terrible mood both days. Either way it didn't feel fair to me.

Highly recommend
I have dealt with chronic pain for a long time and always feel a level of anxiety when I get a new doctor because some of them can seem so dismissive . Dr. Finkelstein has always made me feel comfortable and validated. At each visit he goes over my options, but isn’t too pushy when I have concerns about certain treatments. Having these issues can make life difficult enough that it’s nice to not have to deal with stressful doctor visits.

I have been going to Dr. Finkelstein for a long time now ,I fined him to be an outstanding Doctor, not only does he really listen to you he is an Artist when it comes to giving you a shot in your joint, nerve block or giving you an epidural in your spine to help with the pain ! I get needles that go through my T7,T8 and T9 which go as close to my nerve as possible to help with my pain that burns all the way down both legs and goes under my heels .My T7,T8and T9 are pushing against my spinal cord and my Neon foreman nerve and I could barely walk. Now since I have been going to Dr. Finkelstein I am walking without my walker or cane and my quality of life is awesome ! I like to stay active as much as possible not only for my health but I enjoy doing things with my Grandchildren which now I am able to do which means a lot to me. I never thought I would be able to do this until I went to Dr. Finkelstein , so if you have real chronic pain Yes I highly recommend going to him.

Dr. Finkelstein will drop your black a** like a hot bowel of grits! He treated me ONCE, and discharged me from this practice! See any other doctor besides him. He wasn’t a good listener, and to be quite frank, he didn’t care what I ha to say, his mind was made up. I’m in a tough situation right now, but I have hope. I’m 100% sure that I can find another, more qualified, compassionate, understanding, non-judgmental, doctor than Dr. Finkelstein!

Dr. Finkelstein was great. Very friendly, knowledgeable and explained things well. I didn’t feel intimidated instead I felt comfortable and at ease. I appreciated his approach to my situation. Nowadays, some Drs will “assume” and treat but he was not like that. He was “old school.” He said: “get tested, let’s see what we’re dealing with then discuss treatments.”
