Competent and kind
My husband experienced several frightening and bewildering events that led us to Dr Dinnerstein who was thorough, calming, straightforward, empathic and honest. We saw him several times, and he was unfailingly reassuring.

Go elsewhere
Needing a neurologist likely means life isn’t going well. I was in one of the toughest years of my life battling the medical maze. After many months of waiting I finally got into neurology. It was the worst office visit I have ever had in my life, hands down. I’m an average person- middle age, married, parent, college educated, in the same mid level job for ten years. I was treated like a criminal juvenile. This man clearly is disinterested in helping people. He’s checking boxes for his paycheck.

Sleep Apnea, anyone?
Just read the other reviews and was shocked. I, too, had him randomly decide that I had sleep apnea when I was there for car accident injuries! I was already diagnosed with post concussion and whiplash. I broke the windshield with my head. I present with no symptoms at all of sleep apnea and thought it was bizarre. I don’t even snore. Ever. It also was brought up by the insurances lawyer as a rebuttal for my injury claims. This weird irrelevant diagnosis from him HURT my case. I can’t believe he did the same thing to someone else. Why is that, sir? I’d like an explanation

Tried to take away meds he wasnt even prescribing
Saw this guy once. Was more than enough. He did absolutely NOTHING useful for me. Whatever. It happens. The 1 star is for what came at the end. He decided after 1 visit and seeing all of my confirmed diagnoses’, several of which are not in his field of expertise AT ALL, that “pain meds are bad” and proceeded to tell me he was going to call my doctor and tell him to stop prescribing me my meds. No valid reason.Who does that?Joke’s on him, though. He waited until AFTER he told me his plan to confirm which doctor prescribes those meds. I confirmed that it was indeed my PC and left (it’s not my PC). Hope he enjoyed his phone call to the wrong doctor trying to make my life more miserable than it already it was. I’d be happy to provide him with many studies from credible sources that can educate him on pain medication and why it’s very necessary in many cases and not harmful. Trying to take away the only thing that helps someone after admitting that the conditions are unknown to you is awful

While having an EEG the employees carried on a 15 min conversation of thier vacations. The results were unreliable. The nurse mentions noise has been a problem. This doctor said the noise isn’t a problem. Really? From John Hopkins Hospital, Conclusion Noise can present a significant challenge in analysis and interpretation of EEG data, necessitating efficient strategies for noise prevention and removal. A large amount of noise can be avoided by taking care of the appropriate recording environment and carefull planning of experiments and recording sessions. Additionally, a number of methods and algorithms can be employed to reject noisy data, remove noise signal and improve signal-to-noise ratio of the data. In order to effectively choose and use methods of dealing with noise, their advantages and challenges need to be considered in relation to the properties of the data and the analytical questions being asked.

Disgracefully poor office administration, worse than any medical practice I’ve dealt with. Trying to make an appointment for 1 hour now and counting. You sit on hold or listen to someone’s phone ring for 10 minutes. They don’t return calls. They don’t care about patients—my mother has dementia (mild) like so many of their patients but they don’t follow up or temind her of appointments or keep up with family listed as power of attorney.

My car was rearended while stopped. My head hit the headrest knocking me out, my face and forehead hit the steering wheel. I started to describe my symptoms. He suddenly left the room, practically danced back into the room and gleefully told me the symptoms were due to sleep apnea. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea back in the 1980s and I knew these strange symptoms were not due to sleep apnea. I think he didn't want to get involved in a legal case or couldn't explain the unusual symptom
