Dr. Eric Costanzo, DO

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Costanzo seven weeks in advance who had been recommended. I was in need of a pulmonologist suffering from a chronic respiratory condition. I called regularly checking on possible cancellations that I might be able to get an earlier visit, unfortunately none available. After waiting seven weeks my wife and I drove twenty plus miles arriving on time for his first appointment. The office staff asked for the insurance cards and our prefilled paperwork upfront then notified us that the doctor had an emergency at home and he would not be available for our visit. We were not very happy but things happen. The staff told my wife if YOU feel like it, try calling this afternoon no guarantees or simply reschedule, we were livid. The GAUL of the staff not to offer a priority appointment when he returns and not even a courtesy call to notify us that he wasn't going to be available for our appointment that morning is very unprofessional. We're certain he's a good Doctor however, STAFF GETS A ZERO!!! Avoid them at all costs!! Plenty of good Dr's with a Great Professional Staff willing to accommodate you.

I was admitted at JSMC ICU back in April. I don’t remember a lot of my long-month hospital stay. However, one thing I do remember is the care and generosity Dr. Costanzo gave me. I can’t thank him enough. He truly saved my life preventing my airway from closing. I was intubated twice. He cares so much about his patients and very knowledgeable. Dealing with such a traumatic experience, Dr. Costanzo’s amazing bedside manner gave me comfort and my parents said he would always check in on me.

Good at what he does, but the office staff is not good at all.

Knowledgeable and thoughtful. Easy to talk to. Doesn't rush you through.

Dr Costanzo , I believed saved my life, because he took the time to listen to me, and really looked at all my test resultsl He was able to tell me what was causing me to feel terrible for years, I had been to at least 3 other doctors with my symtoms Ive been sick for at least 10 years, no one could tell me what was wrong, he sent me to the right doctor I needed. Had my surgery and feeling great no longer feel like Iam dying, thanks to Dr. Costanzo.
