Really clear communicator
Dr. Carlisle is very smart and caring. He didn’t rush me at all and answered all of my questions. He was so clear and helpful. I left the ER with a plan of action to get better. Anyone would be lucky to have him be on duty when they’re in the ER.

Worst Dr. I ever had
Saw him the ER. He spent all of two minutes with me and then asked me “what do you expect me to do for you”. He was condescending and unkind. Needless to say, I left there untreated and feeling worse then when I arrived.

This says he honors CIGNA. He does not. CIGNA will tell you to go to Providence Tarzana Hospital but if you're treated by Dr. Eric Carlisle he is not in network. CIGNA negotiated a price with Dr. Carlisle and he rejected it. Now I'm being billed $1000 dollars because Dr. Carlisle and Tarzana Medical Associates cannot seem to get enough money from insurance AND patients.

Dr. Carlisle was kind, compassionate and understanding of my problem. He thoroughly took his time with me and made sure I was at ease. I would highly recommend and I wish all E.R. doctors were like him.

E.R. patient – Aug 28, 2018

I saw Dr. Carlisle in the ER at the Tarzana Providence Medical Center yesterday. As a doctor myself, I often wonder about the patients' perspectives of us (note: no one in the ER knew I was a Dr, so I did not receive any special treatment). Dr. Carlisle was pleasant, excellent bedside manner, explained my results in a way that was understandable, and appeared to be very caring. He spent plenty of time with me. I highly recommend him.
