Not this visit. I've seen Dr. Boyd for nerve injections and also knee injections. When I had a torn hamstring after knee surgery with another medical facility and pt, he was the one who diagnosed me, even when it was at my husband's appointment. I can't say enough about him. I recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Boyd has been managing my back pain for a number of years, keeping me out of the OR with no big back surgery. I am able to do the things I love. He is patient, kind and very knowledgeable. The staff in the clinic as well as the ASC are outstanding! They make you feel important, safe and really listen. I highly recommend Desert Pain Institute for quality care and experience!

Dr. Boyd has no bedside manner if you are overweight. He was insensitive and degrading. I left in tears and he didn’t care. He failed to review my chart or he would not have assumed that my skinny wife was the patient when he walked in the room. This was after seeing him at least 6 times this year. Learn some empathy.

Dr. Boyd was nice in my opinion but like so many these days he and they are taking CDC guidelines as law instead of what they actually are, guidelines!!! What these doctors are saying is all patients are equal which it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure differently. We the patients need doctor's who truly care and understand who we are and how we feel. Pain is destructive in everyway possible. Keep searching as this Dr. is not the one but will top you off with lots of steroids!!!!!

My Experience & Treatments From Doctor Boyd @ DPI Has Been Exceptional. And His User Study, Doug Has Done Wonders With My Knee's. Dr. Boyd Was My Original Pain Doctor & I Actually Changed My Medicare Insurance Company To One That He Accepted @ DPI In Order To See Him For My Pain Management Again. I Appreciate All He Has Done For Me & Will Highly recommend Him To Anyone That Would Need His Knowledge & Experience For A Pain Management Situation.

I really liked Dr. Boyd, but I will not go back due to their billing practices. Although they're contracted with Aetna, they force you to pay your estimated costs which is incorrect when you have outstanding doctor visits yet to be processed that will meet your deductible. This means that I will pay for the full visit and have to keep track of everything in order to request a refund. I can't use my FSA card in this scenario - the entire experience is an accounting nightmare!
