I took my mom to him for a second opinion consult after her kidney function seemed to be deteriorating and her doctors at a different practice (not within MGB) were dismissing my concerns about it. He said he thought she might have amyloidosis and he wound up being close. Sadly, the day after our visit, she went into renal failure and was ultimately diagnosed (via biopsy) with a paraproteinemia from her cancer. I appreciated that he took the time to meet with us and was so thoughtful about what might be going on.

One of the warmest, down to earth, most compassionate doctors. I am so lucky to have him as my oncologist. Always punctual, concerned about my emotional as well as physical health, caring, and an incredible man. Takes the time to know you as a person and to always be sure you are ok. Consider yourself very lucky if he’s your oncologist. A real gem.

Dr. Hochberg was so kind and thoughtful about treating my cancer. At a young age of 27, I was diagnosed with Lymphoma, he eased me through this hard time and comforted my family, when they were very unsure of my outcome. Now, I am 31 and cancer free, all thanks to Dr. Hochberg!

Dr.Hochberg gives me his full attention at all appointments. He is never distracted. He listens intently to questions and concerns. When I was first diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, Dr. Hochberg dedicated over and hour and a half to explain and answer all my questions, addressed my fears and concerns, was very easy to talk to and used language I cou;d easily understand. He is an amazing, knowledgeable, dedicated doctor.
