Dr. Emily Dreyer, MD

I was resisting taking my medications because of the number of side effects and not a great help from them. I did go through different therapists throughout the years with some relief of my symptoms. Finding this doc is a gem. She helped me for the first time ever to gain much better understanding of my problems, took me off 2 medications and now with therapy she provides, I'm feeling better than ever before! Very passionate, knowledge and understanding. I sent my friend and one coworker, both don't stop raving about her.

I've seen many therapist and psychiatrist that never have time to communicate between themselves. This physician does use therapy and medications in her treatment. She not only got my medications to a minimum, she also helped me understand why I was not responding to so many different treatments in the past. Excellent doctor!

I used to be under Dr. Bessers treatment. I always felt incredibly comfortable around her and she did an amazing job validating my feelings. I saw her four years ago and my care ended after I left for school. Now that I am back from school and working in the DTC, I am really hoping she will be able to see me again.

Unfortunately I have to give this Dr. a very poor review. I feel she is wanting to be helpful and really cares but is very unorganized and quick to diagnose , and her technique is reading form a book asking questions? She prescribed me medication which I followed how to take it and it was the worst experience I have ever had with medication and way to high a dose in a short amount of time. This Dr. also has appointments every 45 minutes and she literally leaves no time in between and does not have anyone to help her with her bookkeeping or scheduling.

My wife took her life while under this doctors care. She was prescribed a ridiculous amount of different medicines. Lexapro, adderall and xanax were all in her system at time of death. All prescribed by this doctor.

Doctor Besser told me that I "wouldn't be a good fit" as a client because I have been hospitalized in the past and that "those types" of patients require more attention. That sounds like she's either incompetent or is just in it for the easy pay check.
