Dr. Elve Laborde, MD

Delivered towards the end of Covid. Had an ok labor and almost delivery until she showed up 2 hours after I called her and told her I was pushing. Her almost no show was the best part of her. When she finally arrived as my baby was crowning, she was only focused on my mask covering my full nose. She was rude, not encouraging at all, and very not attuned to making it a pleasant experience. She kept yelling at me about the mask and needing to relax and if I didn’t push stronger the baby will never come out. I’m really not feminine and don’t need a sweet doctor who tells me I’m gonna be great and we’re all awesome, and despite that I had a terrible experience.She refused to pop my water without explanation and made me push my baby out through the water. Thankfully I had no complications that she could further mess up, as well as an amazing doula who basically delivered my baby. I left the practice for my next baby because of her.

I first saw the bad review about Dr. Labored and was hesitant to make an appointment but the receptionist was so helpful and it was so easy to make an appointment. Dr. Labored was so nice and she went over everything with me. She knew that I was a bit nervous about being there and she reassured me the whole time. I went back for another painful procedure and she called an hour later to check on me. Definitely one of the best doctors I've ever met!
