Get a second opinion... always. She made a serious mistaken diagnosis with me. Second and third opinion corrected it.

I have no doubt Dr. Gallant saved my life, I went to see her after being diagnosed with a "small Murmur" at around age 41 she had multiple tests done, thoroughly reviewed my situation and met with one of the top Surgeons to confirm everything, it turned out I had a severe failing Aortic Valve and if she had not found it I would have been in big trouble, I would highly recommend Dr. Gallant she personally called me on my home phone to answer questions and reassure me before open heart surgery!

Originally from Manhattan I moved to Jackson 6 years ago. Been going to Salt Lake for my Cardiologist f/ups. I have heard numerous negative comments about Gallant but as a ex-New Yorker I was willing to give her a try. What a MISTAKE! Her interpersonal skills are poor & she never reviewed @ my past St. Johns medical history & time spent with her was less the 10 minutes. I would not recommend Gallant.

Seems fully qualified and recommend, but mainly because she is the only cardiologist in Jackson. Near zero personally and very little conversation beyond answering her questions. Hospital has said they're very happy to have her join. Just one visit so far.

In case of an emergency, I presume Dr. Gallant would be of great help to one in need. Last fall, she attended to my mother in the hospital in a very dismissive manner, all the while checking her watch. Recently, during my mother´s death, she entered the room to assist turning off my mother´s AICD implant. She hadn´t even bothered to come in before that to offer her condolences to my father and our family.
