Dr. Sun has been the most caring, empathetic, and knowledgeable GI doctor that I’ve ever been to! I’m a Crohns patient and she has consistently taken the time to explain stuff to me in a way that’s easy for me to understand. I trust Dr. Sun for my care and so should you. Also, FYI Dr. Sun was on medical leave for most of 2016. I know this cause I had to see another GI doc for my appts that year and it sucked! But yeah be wary of any reviews on here that are from that time…might not be accurate!

I have had no recent visits. However, Dr. Sun, MD, is the best gastroenterologist. I've been a patient of hers for several years. She is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! . I always have recommended her to friends and patients that I have encountered.

Went to see her once and the experience was disappointing. Downplayed all my symptoms and worries so a a preventive doctor she is terrible. I have LEGIT symptoms that should be looked into, not dismissed. She sort of just nodded, and didn't look too interested in all I had to say, almost as if I were talking to myself at times, was very bad with her responses, didn't add much to it, was short and dry. And almost seemed like she was clueless or uninterested. Avoid...

Did an endoscopy on me at a local hospital (inpatient) after insurance paid I got a bill from the hospital for over $3,000! Find a Dr. who does this in their own facility. Hospitals charges are very high! I was told Dr. Sun only does these procedures at that hospital. I had to wait 45 days to get the test. I changed doctors after this stressful insident.

Once I went in to see her and she saw I was on anti-depression meds, my problems were all in my head. She asked me since I had a family and a job I liked, why would I be depressed. Really? You are a medical professional and should know that none of those things have to do with clinical depression! Comments like that can cause people to take their lives! She did schedule me for tests, but when I had a problem and had the answering service page her during the night, she never called me back.

Dr. Sun was very caring. Listened to me, while I described my symptoms. She recommended tests, which were scheduled by her office. I certainly would recommend her as a fine and caring doctor.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Sun?
Dr. Sun performed an endoscopy on my mother and missed an esophageal cancer. My mom & I are both nurses. (My mom WAS a nurse) When she became ill I became her advocate & managed her care. I know how the system works & I know how to work within the system. Dr. Sun seems to view herself as superior-to all. Her manner is short, distracted, dismissive and downright disrespectful to her patients & their families. In 6wks time we transferred my mom to Penn for an outstanding experience.

I have been a patient of Dr Sun for over 15 years. When her office was in Norristown. She is a good listener, and has always tried hard to secure a good treatment plan for my issues. Not always easy to schedule an appointment.
