Dr. Elizabeth Sledge, MD

Dr Sledge has taken care of both my boys since birth. We were lucky to get a recommendation to see her and never looked back. My children have experienced significant medical complexities, and I cannot thank her enough for the concern and care she has provided my family throughout the years. I have sent all of my friends to her practice and tell them it is the best gift I could ever give them. In particular, she has made a significant impact within the special needs community in Lubbock with the clients and families she has served. When she moved from Lubbock to College Station I was heartbroken, but I know she will create a beautiful practice there and I wish her the very best. If she is in your area I cannot recommend her enough. Ask anyone from Lubbock and they will tell you the same.

Dr. Sledge is so awesome with my daughter. She listens and respects her as a person. I feel like she knows she can totally trust her. We would not use anyone else.

Dr. Sledge spends time with my daughter and listens to her. Dr. Sledge has always been friendly and helpful. I trust Dr. Sledge based on the excellent care she has given us.

My son came in with a slightly pink eye and definitely puffy. Dr. Sledge provided a thorough check up before giving her diagnosis and a prescription. She even added consideration for his older sister when giving me instructions to care for my son at home.

I hate to give a negative review, but also feel responsible to other patients to share experiences that some may wish to avoid. Dr. Sledge asked me to leave the room during my child's annual checkup, then told my non-sexually-active daughter that she should become sexually active in college, but not high school (?!?!?!). In front of my child, she suggested that she had a rare processing disorder, but instead of making a referral for diagnostic testing, suggested that we buy a book from Amazon. The suggestion made no sense at the time, and, in subsequent years, it has come to nothing. She insisted that it was her own decision---not my decision and not a shared decision---regarding which day that my child should go back to school after a long flu. Maybe I caught Dr. Sledge on a series of off-days, but it seemed enough like a pattern of poor boundaries and lack of professionalism that we pulled our kids.

We've had a great experience with Dr. Sledge, who became our pediatrician as soon as my daughter was born. She's WONDERFUL with our daughter. She listens to and is respectful to us. I never feel like she's in a rush when we come in. I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Sledge has listen and understood my needs for my children she took over the care of my preemie when he left out of nicu and i loved everything about her so i transfered my other 2 kids to her as well not only is she good at her jod but her nurse Miranda is absolutely amazing she has always returned my call before the clinic closed, and the receptionist are nice and easy going on rescheduling
