My Visit
Let me tell you about my recent visit with Dr Perelstein. She greeted me in the waiting room with a smile and then escorted me to her office. At all times she made me feel comfortable asking questions. When I asked about a certain medication prescribed after my stroke, she explained i detail (also showing me on line) what its purpose was. When I explained my concerns about its side effects, she asked many questions to understand them and then prescribed milder one and told me how to transition from one to the other. She listened to all aspects of my care. When I expressed concerns about my aging, she advised me regarding those concerns. After I had no more questions, she did my annual physical exam. At no time during my visit did I feel rushed. She then gave me the number of her assistant's direct line should I encounter any problems and escorted me out. What more could you ask for?I would highly refer her to family, friends or anyone who asked.

I've been a patient of Dr. P's for a few years now and she continues to amaze me at every interaction (in person visits, portal questions, etc.). She is super smart, responsive, explains everything so clearly, and very thorough. I wish i could give more stars!

Highly Competent Nerologist with a human side
Dr Perelstein was sitting beside me when I woke up from a stroke and has been with me each step of the way in my, so far, successful recovery.   She is quick, bright competent and is through in my treatment.  Her observations are accurate and explanations clear.   Most significantly, she is very human.   When I encountered a setback, she was encouraging and optimistic with kind, personal words, precisely when I needed them most.  She's made a real difference in my life both medically and as a human being.

Very Thankful
I was admitted to the hospital with spontaneous bilateral carotid dissections. As a young women in her early thirties with no medical history I was shocked and overwhelmed. I literally ran six miles that morning and by the evening was being told I possibly had a genetic disease causing my arteries to spontaneously tear. Dr. Perelstein was a saving grace in all of it. Extremely honest and clear of my situation while also staying positive and confident. She gave me peace of mind that although the situation wasn't great it also wasn't worst case. She almost immediately fostered trust so I felt confident in the plan of care that is ahead and also that I was in the right place for the right treatment. As the nurse in my family I was the only one that knew what was going on so I had a lot on my mind, she made me feel not alone and I am forever grateful. I have a follow up with her in March and I can't wait to thank her in person.

Elite!
After suffering a stroke in the summer of 2022 I had the pleasure of making Doctor Perelstein's acquaintance. During follow up appointments is when my wife and I really learned to appreciate her knowledge, professionalism, and humorous personality. Unlike some medical experiences that I have had with other Doctors, she genuinely cares. For the most part my wife is the contact (proxy) with medical personnel concerning my situation. We have had issues communicating with other doctors and their offices. In comparison to these other medical professionals... Doctor Perelstein in my opinion is by far superior. My wife has called Doctor Perelstein on my behalf in the past, and has received return calls every time. Doctor Perelstein is a specialist in her field and therefore my follow up appointments with her will sadly be coming to an end. My wife and I agree that our experience with Doctor Perelstein has been both refreshing and reassuring. Thanks Dr. Perelstein for all that you do everyday.

Brilliant doctor, very thorough!
My first consultation with doctor Perelstein was to obtain a second opinion regarding my health issues. Before I saw Dr. Perelstein, I was feeling hopeless! Her knowledge and communication skills were like a breath of fresh air! She was welcoming, knowledgeable, multi-gifted, and a good listener. She devoted more time than I expected to answer all my questions and concerns, and setting up a schedule of tests to explore options to treat my conditions. I left feeling like the weight of the world had been lifted from my shoulders, and she gave me the confidence i needed to feel hopeful!

An exemplary Doctor!
From our first encounter with Dr.Perelstein we knew she was a doctor who was knowledgeable, professional, personable, and caring. She explained everything happening and things to expect. She was open to all questions and reviewed if necessary. She didn’t leave any stones uncovered addressing my husband’s stroke from its onset, cause, present care, and future care. Dr. Perelstein works well with others, respecting all levels of co-works. We particularly appreciate they way she types out the plan of care, including what was discussed during visit - the reason and expectations for medication , any test scheduled, lab wk, any referrals, and scheduling next visit. This was all included in her appointment summary printed out and given to use. She returns calls in a timely manner. My husband is doing very well and will be discharged from the V/N clinic at RIH . We are so grateful for the care she gave my husband and the guidance she provided. Highly recommend Dr. Perelstein!
