Inaccurate Diagnosis, Unnecessary Surgery
Dr. Matzkin told me she could repair my meniscus. I only wanted to go through with the surgery if I could get back to running afterwards. She said I could so I agreed to the procedure. Afterwards I was told repair was not possible and they removed MORE meniscus. I was told to consider a meniscus transplant during my first post op - telling me that I probably won't run again. I've had to have 2 more surgeries to address my knee because my arthritis began to accelerate very quickly. Her office would not even give me a referral to a surgeon for a meniscus transplant. I just kept being strung along to my post ops. When I finally saw a new surgeon, I was told that I wore away my femoral condyle and needed both a meniscus transplant and bone graft for the cartilage. I am in pain every day and I can not no longer do the things I love such as hiking, running, playing with my dogs. My experience has left me extremely depressed and hopeless. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Matzkin was dismissive of my reported symptoms. She concluded that I had a muscle strain, even though I was in pain for two years. She didn't even want to follow up or refer me to someone else. Her diagnosis was incorrect, and as a result, proper treatment was delayed.

Was seen at the Foxboro office and it was smooth and to get to see her and staff was amazing.I was in such pain I went to the Treatment Center on Sunday and I was lucky enough to get her for my appointment on Tuesday. Talk about striking it big! Love the office and the professional courteous staff. It was a breeze checking in and checking out.
