Dr. Elizabeth Canepa, MD

My son saw Dr. Canepa but was unsatisfied with her care. Visits were rushed, and she displayed poor bedside manner. Additionally, she provided a misdiagnosis as it pertains to his psychiatric condition.

2016 I was first admitted to the VA. I was full of mania and out of control. The next day I talked to Elizabeth, she diagnosed me with bipolar disorder, even though I had a feeling for a while that I was bipolar. Elizabeth cares about everybody. Her only problems are she cares too much and could never prescribe me the right meds. Thanks to her I get 100%, and I would definitely do anything for Elizabeth.

Very unprofessional. I saw her once and that was too much. I checked in at the desk 10 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time. The staff personel informed her that I was there for my appointment. I waited approximately 25 minutes. I finally went to ask the staff if she was planning on seeing me. The person thought she had already called me back for my appointment. It took another 15 minutes for her to come and get me. She was very cocky and rude when I mentioned the length of time I had to wait for her. She didn't apologize or give an excuse to why she took her time. After speaking with a few other veterans they experienced the same thing. She tries very hard to get you frustrated so you just leave. She knows exactly what she is doing. She doesn't want to hear about MST because there may be a claim. She is taught to avoid the truth. Most important read your medical record after each visit.
